SubmitForm Failing

On calling SubmitForm, I'm getting the following, confusing error: The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: Dynamics NAV: Request failed (404): The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. (The field 'Service Item Line No.' of table 'Service Line' contains a value (10000) that cannot be found in the related table (Service Item Line).)

However, when I look in Business Central there is clearly a record in the 'Service Item Line' table with the 'Line No.' value: 10000. To illustrate this I've attached a 3-page document showing some snapshots. On page 1 there's a PowerApps screen containing 3 forms. The document explains each form. On pages 2 & 3, there's a snapshot of the two relevant tables in Business Central.

I'm a bit stuck on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anybody had any thoughts on this one? I followed the documented procedure of creating a PowerApps Canvas App, pointed it at the table I wanted to add to, dragged on the fields, clicked the tick button (what could be simpler?), AND it fails. PowerApps has let me down.

Hi @NW-PA ,

Have you customized any data cards inside this form control? If so, please share the related configurations like the formulas in Update property of the data cards,

Hi Mona,

Thanks for the response. Is there a quick way to list out all the custom formulas in a PowerApp?

Thanks

Nick

Top form is called FormHeader
  Property : Formula
DataSource : Service_Order
      Item : First(Filter(Service_Order, Document_Type="Order" && No="SO000001"))
All Datacards have a DisplayMode of View - No Update properties
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Middle form is called FormSvcItemLine
  Property : Formula
DataSource : Service_Item_Lines
      Item : First(Filter(Service_Item_Lines,Document_No=DataCardValue35.Text))
All Datacards have a DisplayMode of View - No Update properties
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bottom form is called EditForm1 (This is the Data-Entry Form)
  Property : Formula
DataSource : Service_Lines
      Item : Empty
The following Datacards are DisplayMode View: Document_No, Document_Type, Line_No
Document_No & Document_Type are just there to show the Join relationship to the parent table.
Line_No is an auto-generated value that increments by 10000 within a Service Order.
The following Datacards are DisplayMode Edit:
Property : Formula
------------------
      Name : Service_Item_No_DataCard2
 DataField : Service_Item_No
    Update : DataCardValue54.Text
      Name : No_DataCard4
 DataField : No
    Update : DataCardValue58.Text
      Name : Service_Item_Line_No_DataCard2
 DataField : Service_Item_Line_No
    Update : Value(DataCardValue12.Text)
      Name : Type_DataCard2
 DataField : Type
    Update : DataCardValue57.Text

Thanks in advance for your help.

Steps to reproduce the error.
-----------------------------
1. Login to an instance of Dynamics NAV Business Central (On-Prem).
2. Via the lollipop button navigate to Web Services
3. Add a Web Service for the 'Service Lines' Page (ID: 5905).
--------------------------------------------------------------
1. Login to PowerApps Portal
2. Create a Dynamics NAV connection
3. Create a New Canvas App
4. Assign the connection to the Service_Lines table and click [Connect]
5. When new app loaded, choose File/Save as, give it a name and click [Save]
6. Preview the app (F5)
7. Click the plus ('+') button (top right)
8. Enter some data and click the tick button (top right)
NOTE: For me, I needed to enter 10000 in the "Service_Item_Line_No" field hence the original error.
Just for sanity, I tried the exact same procedure, but used a different table: 'Job Planning Lines' and I successfully added a record.
I'm interested to see if you can reproduce the error?

Any news on this one?

Please, somebody respond? Am I attempting something that PowerApps is NOT capable of?

All I'm trying to do is add a row to a child table called "Service Lines" that has a relationship to a parent table "Service Item Lines" which in turn has a relationship to its parent table: "Service Order". They are joined by two fields: Document_Type and Document_No. There is also an auto-generated field called Line_No that increments by 10000 for each "Service Line".

By the way, I tried using the Patch function instead of SubmitForm but it complains that the three aforementioned key fields are "generated by the server and can't be specified.". But I have to specify them so that they are bound to the parent?!

Help!

I must confess I'm disappointed with lack of response.
