Hi, I have a scenario where team lead is required to book the cab for his team. This is done by submitting the details of each teammate. So I have added two buttons on my screen where the form is. One is submit and other one is Continue Adding. User is required to choose Continue Adding if he has to book the cab for more than one person and submit is clicked when teammates are added and request can be submitted. I am new to PowerApps and still trying to figure out what should be done with both buttons. Esp. with Continue Adding, if user clicks on it how do I save the details he has added and provide him a refreshed form and save it again. Later can we submit multiple responses of this form? Kindly guide.

@meghna ,
Here is a quick idea to get what you need.
On OnSelect property of the Continue adding button, use:
Collect(recordsToSubmit,Form.Updates);
ResetForm(Form);
NewForm(Form)
On OnSelect property of the Submit, use:
Collect(recordsToSubmit,Form.Updates);
Patch(YourDataSource,recordsToSubmit);
Clear(recordsToSubmit);
ResetForm(Form);
NewForm(Form)
You need to adapt the formulas to your specific name for YourDataSource and Form control.
Hope it helps !

@gabibalaban Thankyou so much for your answer. I am able to reset the form by clicking on adding button but submit button is not working as expected. I think I am not able to understand what exactly should be there in "recordToSubmit". Is it a collection, if yes, then how and where I shall create it. Earlier when only one record was required to be submitted, I directly gave the below code in Onselect property of Onsubmit button. Kindly check:
Patch(TransportRequests,Defaults(TransportRequests),{'Emp No':EmpIDInput.Text,'Emp Name':EmpNameInput.Text,Category:CategoryInput.Text,Location:LocationInput.Text,'Mobile No':MobileNoInput.Text,'Existing Boarding Point':BoardingPointInput.Text,'Bus Route – Name of Bus':NameOfBus.Text,'Canteen Facility Required (Y/N)':CanteenFacilityInput.SelectedText.Value,Reason:ReasonInput.Text,Slot:SlotInput.SelectedText.Value}); Navigate(RequestSubmittedScreen,ScreenTransition.CoverRight)
@meghna ,
Using a form control you can access all the data ready to be written with Form.Updates property. Also, the form control has a specific function called SubmitForm() that cover same things and a little bit more as the Patch formula you used.
But if you want to write more than one record, the form isn't enough, because you need to store somewhere the previous data.
What I did was to collect in recordToSubmit collection the data (as records) ready to be written in datasource. If you check the collection values in view tab you'll see a sample a that values.
The Patch function accepts collection of records , if the collection has a similar structure as datasource, which is obvious in this case.
So, the OnSubmit property of submit button should be:
Collect(recordsToSubmit,Form.Updates);
Patch(YourDataSource,recordsToSubmit);
Clear(recordsToSubmit);
ResetForm(Form);
NewForm(Form);
Navigate(RequestSubmittedScreen,ScreenTransition.CoverRight)
The Clear, ResetForm, NewForm are used to clear all the data after patch.
Hi, Thankyou for your response. Sorry , I should have explained the problem in more detailed manner. What I am trying to achieve here is to send the mail and update the excel with the data that has been submitted. The mail that goes to travel desk for cab request has to be in tabular format. With your help, I have created the collection of data getting filled. But what I am not able to understand is where this collection should be initialized. I have done it in both Submit button as well as in Continue adding button. But somehow the mail is containing more rows than that are getting filled. Please see my screenshots below. Kindly guide.

hi @gabibalaban , the issue is resolved now. All thanks to your quick support. Thankyou so much for your guidance.
Hi All,
As the addon to below described scenario, I am able to send the filled data in form via mail in tabular format. What I am finding hard is to provide a column in same table which should have serial number of corresponding row. Below is the code I am using to send the data from powerapps collection using concat method via mail in tabular format, which function can I use to have the auto increment for each row. Kindly guide.
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2("abc@gmail.com","OT details","Please find OT Details here" & "<table width = '100%' border='1' cellpadding='0' style='border:1px solid black;border-collapse:collapse'>" & "<tr style='background-color:#efefef'> <th> SerialNumber</th> <th>EmpNo</th> <th>Emp Name</th> <th>Category</th> <th>Location</th> <th>MobileNo</th> <th>Existing Boarding Point</th> <th>Bus Route-Name of Bus</th> <th>Canteen Facility Required</th> <th>Reason</th> <th>Date</th> <th>BA/BU</th> </tr>" & Concat(ResourceDetailsCollect, "<tr><td>" & 'Emp No'&"</td><td>"&'Emp Name'&"</td><td>"&Category&"</td><td>"&'Mobile No'&"</td><td>"&Location&"</td><td>"&'Existing Boarding Point'&"</td><td>"&'Bus Route – Name of Bus'&"</td><td>"&'Canteen Facility Required (Y/N)'&"</td><td>"&Reason&"</td><td>"&Today()&"</td><td>"&'BA/BU'&"</td></tr>")&"</table>",{Cc:"xyz@gmail.com"});
