Whenever I try to edit my SharePoint list item which uses as custom form created in PowerApps, receiving error as "There was a problem saving your changes. The data source may be invalid."

It is saving item successfully when newly added, error occurs only when I edit my item.

Any ideas to resolve this error?

Hi @Sigappi,

First, check the connection list in PowerApps site and make sure that your SharePoint connection's status is connected. Then please try to customized this app in PowerApps, and then try to delete the list data source and readd it again.

If this does not solve the issue, please try to delete the custom form and then recreate it to test:

 

1. From your list in SharePoint, open the settings page (by selecting the gear icon near the upper-right corner), and then select List settings.

2. Under General settings, select Form settings.

3. On the Form Settings page, select Use the default SharePoint form, and then select Delete custom form.

I'm getting the same error.  I can create a new entry and submit it, but when I try to mofify the entry I get the error.

I used this powerapps to automatically create the app from a sharepoint list then modified it.  The list is an customized "Event List".  I am not using it as a list form in sharepoint but as a standalone Powerapp.  When I look at the list form settings, I do not see any powerapps, or infopath options.  Just says "InfoPath does not support customizing the form used for this list"

 Is something in my list not compatible?  I looked through the column settings and don't see anything that would be unsuported.

I have verified the sharepoint connection status, it is in connected state only. Tried deleting list datasource and readding it again. Also recreated the list based on your suggestion. Still getting the same issue. If connection/datasource is wrong it should not allow me to add items right? I am not facing any issues while adding.

.Even I tried in a list with only one default Title field, While updating I am getting same error.

I tried using excel as datasource instead of sharepoint list, but getting same issue while editing item.

Any ideas please?

I got the below response from Power users community team:

Your company firewall or proxy may be blocking PATCH requests. Check with your IT Team.

Do you have any SharePoint Designer WorkFlow linked to the list you try to edit ?

I had the same problem, and resolved it by disabling SPD Workflows executed oin my list...
