When searching for specific items in an entity in the legacy Advanced Find, the lookup window would only show "Active" items.  In the Modern Advanced Find, it is showing everything in the entity.  

Is there a way to have it default to active only?  I updated the "Advanced Find" for that entity, but that didn't work (unless it requires more time to synch through the system).

We have a number of inactive items in many entities that are cluttering up the list for filtering and making it difficult for users to choose the right item.

Appreciate any assistance.

@smithdes There is a new feature in Build 9.2.22103 that provides a better lookup capability. It is not enabled by default. Here is the documentation.

Thanks, @sriharibs - I turned that on and that does provide the "active" only items, but it also means that users have to do more work (i.e. click on Advanced Lookup) to see the "active" items when before, they could click on something else to see the "inactive" items.  It seems like this is backwards in the new advanced find.

Is there any chance of getting this on the list to switch around?  An advanced lookup should provide more information, not less, as it does here. This is an issue for our users as it impacts their ability to easily create views with filters and ensure they are seeing the correct data in their view.

@smithdes Advanced lookup is one click away from the drop down, where users can get more information on the records they are choosing. In addition, users can also select/deselect records across different views.

@sriharibs - let me ask a different question.  Why isn't the drop-down in the Edit Filters of Modern Advanced Find using the [Entity] Lookup View?  That would solve this issue.  We have that customized in the system views to show what we want - it works fine on the forms, but not in the Advanced Find filters.  

Is there an option we need to set to make that happen?  Or, is that drop-down using a different view to display the choices?  Appreciate any help.

@smithdes Thanks for the context. The drop down in Edit filters is not using the [Entity] lookup view because it is not a lookup field on a form. The lookup field on a form is separate control that has Client API support and other customization options available in Form Designer. The Value field in Edit filters is not equivalent to the lookup field on a form. But it's a future improvement that we'll prioritize based on usage and feedback.

Bug: the custom label of n:n relationships is not being used, but instead the plural name is being used when adding a filter criteria as a related table and scrolling down to the many to many section. If you have two n:n relationships between the same tables, the user is unable to disambiguate the two list options.
