Transfer data from one screen to another

I'm building an app where two people check an amount of money and then sign using a digital signature, broken down into 3 screens. 

Screen 1 = amount of money is entered. 

Screen 2 = amount entered in screen 1 is displayed, with a signature box for signee 1. 

Screen 3 = amount entered in screen 1 is displayed, with a signature box for signee 2. 

Please can anyone help me with how to get the amount to display on screens 2 and 3 please? I think it might be something to do with setting a variable based on another post on here, but even with that solution I can't figure it out. 

Just learning how to use this programme, so might need the 'idiot's guide' version!

You don't need to set any variables.  Controls in your app are all global and can be accessed from any screen in the app.

So, if your app has a TextInput control on screen 1 to enter the money and it is called (for example) txtMoneyAmount, then on screen 2 you can have a label with a text value of txtMoneyAmount.Text and it will show whatever was entered in that input.

So...you can use that anywhere you want in the app.

Thanks for your response. I tried that and go this. I have my 3 screens set up to patch - would that have any impact?

It appears you are using a form.  In which case you should be submitting the form rather than patching!

But that aside, you are also referencing a control - a DataCard and not the actual control where your input is.

'Cash (Received In)__DataCard4_1 is a Datacard.  It has no Text property to it.  It has controls in it.  Click on your input control in the datacard and whatever the name of that control is will be what you want.
