Unable to remove PowerBIIntegration

Hi,

I experimented with PowerBI integration within my app and am now having trouble removing this which is causing users to need a PowerBI license to use the app.

I've removed the data connector and do not have any PowerBI elements in the app, however there is a PowerBIIntegrator which I am unable to delete. Is there a fix for this or do I have to rebuild the app? or is there perhaps another way for users not to need a PowerBI license?

Do you embed a canvas app into your Power BI report?

Do you want to remove the ‘PowerBIIntegration’ option from your canvas app?

If you embed a canvas app into your Power BI report, and want to remove the ‘PowerBIIntegration’ option from your canvas app,  afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Power Apps currently.

The 'PowerBIIntegration' option represents the Integration between Power BI and Power App canvas app, means this canvas app is a Integration App, rather than a standard canvas app. Currently, there is no option to remove the 'PowerBIIntegration' option from the embedded canvas app. Also there is also no way to use the Power BI Integration Canvas app without Power BI license.

If you would like this feature to be added in Power Apps, please submit an idea to Power Apps Ideas Forum:

As an fixed solution, you should re-create a new canvas app (standard canvas app) in your Power Apps Environment, then the 'PowerBIIntegration' option would not be shown up.

Thank you for your reply on this. I don't have my app embedded on a power bi report. I only experimented with embedding a Power BI report into the app but have since removed this. From what you are saying Ill need to rebuild the app.

This is such an old post but I noted this behaviour is still the case in today's platform.

For anyone else arriving here with the same question - please note - you can remove the PowerBIIntegration component by rolling back your app to a version before embedding it in Power BI. 

When you embed it the first time, Power BI asks you to open the app and save it - that action should create a new version, so if you roll back to the version just before this, it will remove the integration.

Obviously, if you created the app from within the BI visual then you won't have a version that isn't integrated, so this wouldn't work.
