Unable to use Internal Field Name for column

So right now I am trying to patch content to a Sharepoint List, and I've been using the Internal Field Names found in the URL of the list. I have a column called EndDate which has internal field name _x0070_qn9, but my app cannot seem to find it. I used a button and a patch to collection to find the name of the list in the application and it seems to be OData_x0070_qn9 but this name does not work either. Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Navigate to the SharePoint list and access the list settings.  When you click on the column in the list settings look at the URL. In the query string will be an entry for Field=ColumnName.  Whatever is listed after the Field= in the query string is the column name you should be using.

I did do that but Powerapps is not recognizing it. The specific ColumnName there is _x0070_qnc but it can't be recognized. I'm not sure if it's because of a possible escape character or if the connection isn't working.

How do you find the field name _x0070_qn9 for EndDate in your SP list?

I have made a test on my side, and don't find the Internal Field Name for "EndDate" column as you mentioned. The screenshot as below:

Actually, within PowerApps currently, it would use a display name of a field to recognize the field in a data source in default rather than use logic name.

On your side, please consider use the display name of a field within your Patch formula. You could use the . operator (Property Selector) to list the display names of fields in a data source as below:

Please consider re-create a new connection to your SP list from your app, then try your Patch formula again, check if the issue is solved.

Can you take a screenshot of the URL when editing the column? I don't think I've ever seen a column who's internal name started with an '_'.

Was this list created from an Excel file?

Looks like your column pqn9 was altered when created as SharePoint will change the first character to avoid conflict with Excel formulas.

However, you should still see this in PowerApps.

Are you not seeing either 'EndDate', pqn9, or _x0070_qn9 when you reference your datasource record?  To check if it is showing up, you can throw a Label on the screen and set the Text property to :  First(yourSharePointDataSourceName).  as soon as you type the '.' you should see the column choices appear in your formula editor...see if any of the above column names show up.

Hi, none of those 3 worked however, I found that OData__x0070_qn9 works. I'm not sure as to what this means

EDIT: I've experimented and it seems that although the column field names starting with _ don't work in my Pacth Function, it appears that the OData_INTERNALFIELDNAME works. However, if any of you can explain what this means I would love to hear

I cannot, for the life of me, find the document I once saw in reference to how SharePoint will automatically change a R1C1 (from Excel) column name into a different internal field name.

My guess is that you brought in an Excel file as the source of your list, or somehow you originally added the column with a R1C1 style name and it converted it.  You then renamed it as EndDate (which of course does not change the internal name).

However, the fact that it doesn't show in PowerApps as a valid field name with the renamed "EndDate" name is something else.  What Column Type is the column in your SharePoint list?

It's a Date and Time column, which does not require information or unique values. Default value is (None)
