Update a SharePoint List with what is chosen on my form multi select combo box

I cant believe this is very difficult to do.
Please help if you have the time.

I have a sharepoint site "Application Management"

I have a list called "Existing Environments"
I have two fields in "Existing Environments"

1. Environment
2. Environment Description

I have a main list called "Applications" and inside that list I have a control called "Existing Applications" that is a single line of text

I have a Power App form and I am using a multi select combo box instead of the OOB single line text field.
The properties are set as follows for the combo box.
Items: "Existing Environment" - This is coming from the "Environments" list

Default = empty

DefaultSelectedItems = empty
Update = I am assuming some type of patch function would go here to patch the field with the value? How would I write this?

Right now I can populate my combo boxes with the choices but I need to update the SP List field with the new choices.

Hi @golfnutt82 ,

For the Update property, please set it to:

Concat(ComboBox.SelectedItems,Environment,",")

You can change the control name and Environment(column name) according to your own information.

Besides, the update property is used to help the submitform function to know what value should this specific datacard upload to SP list, so you need to put the value you want to create for this single line text field.

Ok, so if I don't use the update function because I will not use the Submit Form function and instead use the Patch function how would that syntax look?

I removed the patch from the Update property and left it blank.
I have many different fields that I will be updating using the Patch function, including the existing field cboExistingEnvironment.

The Environments list is what I am looking up to using a combo box
The Default for the datacard is ThisItem.'Existing Environments', which is a text field on the main list.
The Items property is set to the list called 'Existing Environments', which is a separate list.
The application is the SharePoint connector for both the Applications List and the Existing Environments List.

Here is what I have so far:
Getting an error. I checked my fields and I dont have any required fields on the main list

For your patch function, you can just replace the "cboExistingEnvironment" with:

Concat(ComboBox.SelectedItems,Environment,",")

And the formula should work.

Just one more question here, isn't the Title column the required column inside your main list? If yes, then you need to update it meanwhile.
