Hi @jubae22 ,

It seems the most immediate issue is that you are trying to compare a Text with a control, which causes a type mismatch. Secondly you can drop the If function because the condition will return the value to set the variable to:

UpdateContext({
	varshowfridialog: !IsBlank(
		LookUp(
			'LAWA Holiday_T',
			Text('Holiday Date', "[$-en-Us]mm-dd-yyyy") = FriLngDateLbl.Text
		)
	)
})

The third issue is that due to the Text function, this is not delegable. If you have less than 2000 items in your list, this will not be an issue, but it may be prettier to get rid of the warning. In case you're interested, please share the Text property of FriLngDatLbl to see if that uses a date type input.

This is the property for the FriLngDatLbl //Text(BusinessDay_DatePicker.SelectedDate,"[$-en-US]mm-dd-yyyy")//

In your syntax does this need to have a true after the colon?

UpdateContext({
	varshowfridialog: !IsBlank(

Hi @jubae22 ,

In this case, instead of referencing the label, you can reference BusinessDay_DatePicker.SelectedDate directly, leaving out the Text function:

UpdateContext({
	varshowfridialog: !IsBlank(
		LookUp(
			'LAWA Holiday_T',
			'Holiday Date' = BusinessDay_DatePicker.SelectedDate
		)
	)
})

Maybe I wasn't clear enough on my first post what I'm trying to accomplish:

So, the example below on the fill property of every input box I have for each day of the week I have the following syntax so that it will highlight the day that is a holiday that week yellow. I selected the week ending of 9/8/2023 Monday is Labor Day that is why it is yellow.

//If(CountRows(Filter(('LAWA Holiday_T'),Text('Holiday Date',"[$-en-US]mm-dd-yyyy")=MonLngDateLbl.Text))>0,Color.Yellow,Color.White)//

jubae22_0-1693433658220.png

but what i also want to do is if the user changes 0 hours on Monday(holiday) to anything >0 then I want it to pop up this error message:

If I assume the context as follows...

The name of your collection for pupulating week days: colWeekDays

The name of the hours input field: inputHours

confidential_actully_not_confidential.png

Set the visible property of the popup (image or container or shape etc...) as follows:

!IsBlank(Filter(colWeekDays, inputHours.Fill = Color.Yellow))

It's checking if the fill color of the inputHours field in each item of the collection is equal to the color yellow.

The above logic does not check whether the day is Monday or not because the yellow color already indicates it's a holiday.

Is there a special purpose for focusing on the Monday? If you utilize your app throughout the entire year to check for all holidays, the message could be made more general. I ask your understanding If I misunderstood your intention.

Sorry. I forgot to add "&& inputHours.Text  >0" to the filter!

Hi @jubae22 ,

Indeed you can use the Fill and Text properties of the labels to trigger the pop-ups, for instance:

UpdateContext({
   varshowmondialog,
   MonLngDateLbl.Text <> "0" && MonLngDateLbl.Fill = Color.Yellow
})
