Hi Guys,
Question: i have people picker in my powerapps. Datasource is based on the sharepoint list i created there. im using this code (refer to my attachment) on defaultSelecteditems. the formula works well and its shows who ever open this form to submit request.
The problem is its not locked to person who submitted the list and once submitted, whoever open the submitted list in sharepoint will reflects the user who open the link. How im doing wrong and how to lock the selected users who submitted the forms? TIA

Hi @xKujiRax,
Do you want to save the current user to your Person column after submission?
Could you please share a bit more about your need, what do you mean by "whoever open the submitted list in share point will reflects the user who open the link" ?
In addition, tell me that how you set the Items property of your people picker.
If you want to save the current user to your Person column, please set the Update property of the data card as below:
{
'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|"&Lower(User().Email),
Department: "",
DisplayName: User().Email,
Email: User().Email,
JobTitle: "",
Picture: ""
}

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft,
Sorry if my question is confusing and thanks for your reply.
let me explain again and the answer that you given is more or less what im looking for.
I got a sharepoint list that integrated to powerapp. so there is one column set on people picker and this column name as "requestor". The purpose of this column is whenever users open this form it will automatically reflects the requestor name. So on the DefaultSelectionItem : i input the code that share previously. It works great. the issue here the people picker didnt update after submitted instead it will change to whoever open the form including the one that already submitted. So how im going to make it permanent once users submitted the request. hope this clear your confusion. TIA
Hi @xKujiRax ,
Do you want to update the requester based on the current user?
If so, please check my solution firstly.
Hi @v-qiaqi-msft i have try iput your formula but still not working. Please advise
Hi @xKujiRax,
I have a tip for you, could you please share more details about your error, like the error message or something specific?
I hope our communication to be as efficient as possible and for each reply to be clear and detailed.
Please do not just tell me that doesn't work, tell me something valuable, like the error, like how and where you write this formula.
Thanks for your co-operation.
Sorry for the incovenience.
Ok so you instructed me to put the formula in Update Property based on the formula given and i dont received any error at all. its working the same before i wrote in the formula.
i wanted to share few photos but the files attach is only 5mb. is there any other way for me to share the photo?
Hi @xKujiRax,
Emm, If you have a Windows10 operation system, you could use Shift+windows+A to capture a screenshot.
However, based on your description, I think there is something misunderstanding between us.
I imagine your scenario is that your requester column should always be updated to the current user, because User() is dynamically changing depending on the currently logged in user.
In short, if the last logged in user A, i.e. the person who selected the people picker, is updated to the requester column, then the next time the person who selected the people picker becomes another user B, then the requester column will definitely be updated to user B as well.
Is there something I missed about your real need?
Yes, theres no problem with people picker auto select. It will reflect the login user name. The problem come after we submit the form. As you already knew all information will be recorded in my sharepoint list. So when the sharepoint list is updated by right the requestor column should retain the same user as the last submitter instead it shows the person name. Example if my Manager check the Requestor name, it show My Manager name instead of the user who submitted the form. Please advise
