Using MS Graph to pull my details and using the Untyped Object

Hi all,

I have tried to pull my profile details using - which is successful.

Set(varGetRequest, Office365Groups.HttpRequest("https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me","GET",""))

I then try to put the variable varGetRequest into a Gallery items to see my profile details but I see no details and PowerApps tells me this is an Untyped Object. How do I handle this, how can I use the varGetRequest for the items of my Gallery?

Set(varGetRequest, Office365Groups.HttpRequest("https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me","GET",""));
Set(varJSON, JSON(varGetRequest, JSONFormat.IncludeBinaryData));
Set(varTable, ParseJSON(varJSON));

Your solution seems close but I still get this error - where is says "JSON cannot serialize objects of type 'UntypedObject'"

If varGetRequest is an untyped object and can't be directly serialized to JSON or used in a gallery, try extracting the properties you need into a collection:

ClearCollect(colUserProfile, {
DisplayName: varGetRequest.displayName,
Mail: varGetRequest.mail,
JobTitle: varGetRequest.jobTitle
// Add other relevant fields from the profile here
});

Then bind colUserProfile to your gallery's items:

Gallery.Items = colUserProfile

Make sure the properties you are trying to collect, like displayName, mail, and jobTitle, match the actual properties returned by the Graph API.

I was able to synthesize the code from your snippets and produce the code below. It works great to retrieve data via the Office365Groups.HttpRequest() connector and Microsoft Graph API. This technique allows you to easily retrieve any piece of data from Graph API and use it within your Power App.

Note: Make sure you study the field names that are returned from Graph API. Power Apps won't auto-suggest the field names for you like when pulling data directly from a SharePoint list or existing collection.
