Using filter function in gallery with dropdown sourcing sharepoint choice column

I want my drop down to filter the results of my gallery using the choice column in my sharepoint list.

My App has a drop down with the following function under 'items': Choices(SharepointList.ColumnName)

This seems to work fine, it's listing all the options from sharepoint.

When I use the following formula in the gallery under 'items', the gallery remains empty: Filter(SharepointList, ColumnName = DropDown.Selected.Value)

 I've spent a few hours reading/watching tutorials on Filters and Choice functions but I don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions appreciated!

Filter(SharepointList, ColumnName.Value = DropDown.Selected.Value)

Have you ever thought that the reason why the gallery is blank is because the data source does not have the option to match the dropdown with the relevant records?

To check if there is no related records corresponding to the dropdown selected, you could write the following formula for the OnChange property of the Dropodwn control:

If(CountIf(SharepointList,Column.Value=Dropdown6.Selected.Value)=0,Notify("No related records found!",Error))

If there is no related records, there will be a notifications saying no records found.

Can you try:

Filter('SPListName',ColumnName.value in DropDown.Selected.Value)

(I might have typed the dropdown selected value code wrong. Please do type in the correct one and then try this formula).

I'm only getting a delegation warning but that shouldn't effect my results, should it? My current list only has five items.

Hi @MegRich,

Please rest assured that this delegation warning can be completely ignored as long as your record does not exceed 2000.

If you not getting that notification, it means that you have related records corresponding to dropdown selected.

By the way, I would not suggest you use the in operator, is there anything wrong with the formula using the operator "=" because the in operator does cause the delegation issue.
