Want to See One Record in a Gallery at a time

Hello All!

Is it possible to create a gallery that contains multiple records, but you only want to be able to see one at a time? Just trying to avoiding a lot of vertical scrolling within my gallery.

Do you want to control the records displayed by Gallery through two arrows (only 1 record is displayed).

I've made a test for your reference:

1\Add two arrows

left arrow:

OnSelect

If(var>1,Set(var,var-1)) /*var is my custom variable*/

rigth arrow

OnSelect

Set(var,var+1)

2\Add a gallery

Items:

Last(FirstN(yourdatasource,var))

In addition, if you just want to display 1 record, I suggest you use a form control instead of the gallery.

That's nice, I haven't thought of this. 

Galleries can be nested at most 1-deep.

It can be done, but if there is a 1:n data inside each record, user will have to find a different way to display it. 

But this is also a nice way to do it.

@v-bofeng-msft Thank you for the suggestion! It's working great, but for example, if a gallery has 7 records and I hit my next button 8 times, yes, it stays on the last record, but I have to hit the back button twice to get to the 6th record.

Is there a way to maybe disable the next button after I have reached the final record?

Insert a Label name it CountGal and put the formula;
Gallery1.AllItems
That will count total Items in the Gallery.

Then Change the Next arrow to
If(var<Value(CountGal.Text),Set(var,var+1))

DisplayMode

@v-bofeng-msft Helpful so far! Currently, my screen displays the gallery data based on the combobox at the top of the screen. However, when a value is chosen from the combobox, my formulas tell me there are records in galleries on the screen, but the galleries do not display the first record in the gallery unless I click on my Next button. Any way to display the first record?

This is perfect for showing one item at a time! Used it for a usability testing app.
