add a shape (circle) change the color (green) when a new item is added every time

Hi Guys,

I have created a power app linking a sharepoint list. this is a simple list where my team is monitoring a system in a rotation basis. but team is confused who is the next person or the current person looking into the system. so i created sharepoint list with below columns.

Name 

Start Date and Time

End Date and Time

Note

Attachments

created a canvas app i want the app to show when ever a new item is listed. the item color or an icon color placed inside the card when a new item is created should change the color to indicate this person is currently looking into the system. and then when a new person added an item the color should change to that item newly listed item

When you do want this circle to disappear and how is this to be done. You need a criteria of some sort for a "new" record.

Do i need to create a new field in the list

Yes, that would be the best option. A Text field will do - set the Default to a value and the green circle when it equals this value. You then change the value when you do not want to see the circle any more.

can i set the value  to the sharepoint ID, so when a new item is created circle will appear and the color green. and it repeats

You would need to test that it is the latest ID - if you put this on the Visible of the gallery icon, it will appear if the number stored is the newest ID in the list.

So the above is not working out properly for me.

What is not working? Do you get an error? The code is fairly simple and looks for the last ID in the list (the newest record) and compares this with the current record ID - if it matches, it is the newest record (and displays the icon). 

You can use this code on the Visible (as described), or in an If() statement to change the colour. What exactly do you want this to do and when?

Bear in mind that any solution provided can only be as good as how well you describe your requirements.
