Hello everyone ,

I have ticket details screen from SharePoint DataSource, this edit form use in 2 screen in powerapps  1 for create record and one for view record on detail screen now i have one button which is sending mail as well to admin when user press button . i want to also add the this type of setting that . when user press button send mail to admin with changing the status value column in sp list too . 

here is my scenario  

so i want with this button press change the value of status and send mail and one more thing from sp list i have set this status column default as new for create any new record . 

this is form view screen specific column is edit mode for some user and some admin only..

To add the requested functionality to your button, you need to add a Patch function to the the OnSelect property. It will look something like:

Patch(
   DataSourceName,
   ItemReference,
   {
      Status: {Value: "Escalated"}
   }
)

To be able to provide a working formula suggestion for your issue, please share:

1. The name of the data source to be updated (same as the Form.DataSource property)

2. The reference to the item to be updated (same as the Form.Item property)

3. The name and type of column to be updated

4. The value to be used for the update

my datasource name is 'HH Power' and my value want to update is "Call Requested"

form mode is view 

this is same from as we discuss on last thread for mail notification.

its work just want this button to visible for all only hide for admin 

i have email id and DL ID for not able to see which formula i use for admin will not see this button ?

because i have big list around 30 member should be not and all can see this button ?

as well your patch function work but mail function behavior like this.

There is nothing in the formula that could directly cause what you posted in the screenshot. Neither the subject nor the body have any resemblance, so I think you have tested with the wrong button.

i don't know its coming from where ?maybe I have some automate flow I think so its coming from flow . i will figure it out this from flow I m sure its coming from any of flow. 

anyway its working as i want just remain the button visibility formula for visible to all and not visible to admin teams mail id and Othe DL ID.

That's a different topic, so please start a new one for that. In there, please explain how admins can be identified (in which list, column and type are the identifiers stored?).
