dropdown.selectedText not writing to sharepoint list choice column

I have created a PowerApp which has all form data patching to a Sharepoint list. One of the columns is a dropdown list containing items:

It should be writing to a CHOICE column in the sharepoint list:

All other data is writing to the list, including attachments, which I'm using the 'FormAttachments.Updates' for and is working no problem:

Only problem is getting the dropdown text to write, any ideas?

Thank you for your reply, sorry I should've been clearer i my original post. The line that isn't writing to the SharePoint list is this one:

There is no error in the PowerApp, it seems to write but it never shows up in the list. Very strange because all other data is writing no problem.

It is a choice column, I've used the same column type and dropdown combo in a different app and it's worked perfectly. I can't understand why it's not writing to the list this time:

which values does intelisense give you when u type drpFinancialHelp. ? normally i patch a choice that way:

drpFinancialHelp.Selected.Value

have u tried this?

I deleted original dropdown and recreated in case it was something weird about first one but the same thing is happening. I have the option for selectedText which gives no errors, and selected.Value but this one gives an error so I can't use it. Using selectedText looks fine in the app but the data never writes to the list.

I have just resolved this by creating a new SharePoint List column, the only difference this time was that I enabled 'ADD TO ALL CONTENT TYPES':

I didn't know this needed to be enabled to patch data to it? Still so much to learn in PowerApps it seems!

i dont know if that was the issue but i have never enabled it manually

sometimes for whatever reason lists can break and act weird.
