dropdown selection returning both text fields when it should return one

Morning all

I have something I think might be fairly easy?  I have a dropdown with the options 'Sublease' and 'Return Sublease' in it.

I also have two cards with the following visible properties on them:

If(vActivityType in "Sublease", true, false)

If(vActivityType in "Return Sublease", true, false)

What I want to happen:  Select Sublease from dropdown and Sublease card shows.  Select Return Sublease from dropdown and Return Sublease card shows.

What is actually happening: Select Sublease from dropdown and BOTH cards show.  Select Return Sublease from dropdown and only Return Sublease card shows.

Now I think what is happening, is that it is looking IN and as the word Sublease is in both the visible properties, it is bringing both cards back.  I found the operator exactin and thought that might sort it but it doesn't.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks

I am assuming here vActivityType is a String Variable containing one or the other of those values - if so the Visible

vActivityType = "Sublease"

is all you need (and the other value on the other control)

Hi Warren and thanks but I think I oversimplified things and that's why I didn't get your reply.

The dropdown actually has about 16 selections in total but I didn't want to mention that to make it more complicated.  All the selections work correctly in terms of visibility with this string variable code If(vActivityType in "WHATEVER THE SELECTION IS", true, false) - and show the relevant card.  The only two that are having the problem are "Sublease" and "Return Sublease" and I think it is because we have the word Sublease both times and I am using IN.

I was basing my response on your comment  I have a dropdown with the options 'Sublease' and 'Return Sublease' in it and assumed you were setting a Variable vActivityType with the output. All you actually need is (with actual drop-down name)

DropdownName.Selected.Value = "Sublease"

or

DropdownName.Selected.Value = "Return Sublease"

or is this a multi-select Combo Box ?

You can work the dropdown with an enumerated collection

Dropdown item = colActivites 

ClearCollect(
    colActivites,
    {
        ID:1,
        Type: "Sublease"
    },
    {
        ID:2,
        Type: "Return Sublease"
    }
)

So you can declare in all fields the view based on the ID

1 in dropdown.selectItens.ID 

You don't need to use the "if" to return true or false

Thanks everyone for your help.  Not sure what was going on but in the end I redesigned the screen and this seems to have resolved the issue in the process.
