edit insted of new row - stuck on "getting your data"

Hello. I have an issue how to edit the table instead of input new row every single time.

I have a power app that lets you input values to the table. Essentially it takes value from tables like Currency, Region_country or Agent and input those values to empty Agent_Target_Table

The data sources looks like this

Agent_Target_Table -> main data source for the form

Power BI -> connection with power bi
Currency -> table used for ComboBox with currency

Region_country -> table used for ComboBox with Region and Country

Agent_Owner -> table used with ComboBox with Agents

Item element for the form is empty right now. DefaultMode is set to FormMode.New. When I change it to FormMode.Edit I got this

Currency Datacard and ComboBoxes has similar advanced properties like the rest of the ComboBoxes

For datacard

DataField -> “Currency”
DisplayName -> DataSourceInfo([@Agent_Targets_Table],DataSourceInfo.DisplayName,Currency)
Update -> Currency_ComboBox.Selected.Currency_code

For combobox

DefaultSelectedItems -> LookUp(Currency, Currency_code = ThisItem.Currency)
Items -> currency

What am I doing wrong? What should I change?

Hi @mati_gouda ,

If you want to update a record, you need to configure the Item attribute of the form.

For example, if you want to update the first record of the data source, please set item to First(db)

okay, but how to configurate the item of the form?  what to type there to update the row? because everytime I'm coming up with something with LookUp, I get this "getting data" screen

Hi @mati_gouda ,

If you use sharepoint list as data source and update the record whose ID is equals to 3.

Please try this in item property

LookUp(db,ID=3)

I've used this as an item + created two different forms. One to edit and one to add new row. Initially I wanted to do both in one form but I figured it's I think impossible because defaultMode of form needs to be EITHER "new" or "edit" (or view) but cannot be both 

LookUp(Agent_Targets_Table, Owner = Owner_ComboBox.Selected.Agent_Name
    && Region = Region_ComboBox.Selected.Value
    && Country = Country_ComboBox.Selected.Country_name
    && Start_of_Month = 'Date selector'.SelectedDate
    && Currency = Currency_ComboBox.Selected.Currency_code)
