height calculations not happening?

I have a form, its height its calculated by lastCard.Y + lastCard.Height, and it works great, until errors appear on the form and the height computations dont happen at this time, however they do happen if I fix one of the inputs of the form.

is there a way to manually call the calculation of height again after the errors are displayed?

Are you referring to a data card or the entire form height?

If a datacard you will need to include the error label in your calculation (and, actually you can possibly figure out for your scenario as well).

Something like this:

   lastCard.Y + lastCard.Height + If(errorLabel.Visible, errorLabel.Height, 0)

Form height, I dont want the form to have the scroll, and the scroll to be the actual page... all the other responsive stuff i have on the page is working. I just want to know if there is a way to tell powerapps to recompute the height of things.

No, PowerApps is more responsive than directly changed.  There are only a few controls that allow some direct transactions to happen on them.  Not the ones you are working with.

You need to work from the formula perspective and you need to include any situations that might arise, such as an error label being displayed.

I have this LastCard.Y+LastCard.Height for form height, lastcard doesnt have any errors, the previous cards do have errors, however when the errors appear LastCardY still points to the Y before the errors, so I get a second scroll bar... However if I click submit which ONLY submits the form, the form gets corrected immediately...so im guessing something is going on with the order of things being computed.

It shouldn't have issues with order of computing.  PowerApps is responsive to any changes.

The question then is, what determines the position of lastCard.Y ?  Is lastCard the very last item in your form?  Do the errors you speak of occur below lastCard.Y?

is the last card of the form, it only contains a submit button.

So you created the lastCard and put a button in it.  That means your card is within the Form itself and subject to the autoheight of the form.  Datacards in a Form are assigned row numbers for their Y properties.  The container form determines their real Y coordinate during play.

I would consider actually taking the lastcard out and moving your submit button outside of the form.  That will give you more control over locations on the screen.  And you can then not worry about it causing a row issue (and thus scrollbars) when the other rows expand for errors.

I still need to compute the height of the form for responsiveness to work. If I take the button out, I still need to calculate the height of the form without the lastcard and I will face the same issue.

Yes, but now you will be working from the Form.Y and the Form.Height instead of the lastCard.Y property...which is only a row number, not an actual screen Y coordinate.
