Hi Everyone,

Can someone please help me on this...I am using a form where i want to reset the few datacard values if form is in edit mode.

I am able to reset the datacards if it is new mode but not getting reset if is in edit mode.

Is the button inside the gallery? try this

EditForm(YourFormName);Set(varRecord,ThisItem);

Form Default mode change to FormMode.Edit

When creating new record add OnSelect property of the button this

ResetForm(YourFormName);
    NewForm(YourFormName);
    Set(varRecord,Blank());

Item property of the form use below

LookUp(Data_Capture,ID = varRecord.ID)

This should work for you, try it please.

Thanks @Ramole i have made the changes in Form Default mode, OnSelect property when starts and update Item property but now when i started i am getting No Item to display.

However I have found some other work around

Added this OnVisible screen property

UpdateContext({ResetControls:false})

and set DataCardValue default property as

If(ResetControls, Blank(), Parent.Default)

and save button on select Property

UpdateContext({ResetControls:true});

So all is working ok however (if supervisor has made the changes on the form1 and dont want to save the details which are on form2 (another screen) (previously saved by user) then it is not working.

I think if you always need that datacardvalue reset blank every time edit the form, just leave the default property in datacardvalue as blank, mean remove the Parent.Default on it's default property.

in my app their are 3 screens and contains 4 Forms - 1st screen and 1st Form has user details, 2nd and 3rd screen has remaining 3 forms and capture details related with accounts and process and each DataCards in these forms contains visible conditions. (e.g. If DataCardvalue1 is Yes then DataCard2 and DataCard3 are visible, DataCardvalue1 is No then DataCard4 and DataCard5 are visible).

The scenario is when Users fill the form then it goes to their supervisor, Post supervisor approval it goes to their manager.

During supervisor review, if supervisor found that user has incorrectly updated Yes in datacardvalue1 so supervisor can change it to No, in the case remaining datacards which are linked with datacardvalue1 needs to reset.

The value should only gets reset or blank if the related dataCard value is changed. so my ask is different.

So is yes the data is saved then later supervisor can change the details entered by the user?
Needed to find out if the above case then you will need to set up different approach

Sure. Also based on the scenarios i have given, now i am able to reset the cards .

however i still cant reset the form so Is there any way to reset the forms as well. i have already tried NewForm and ResetForn but that is not working.

What you mean is you have dtcardvalue with value in yes/no. The yes value related with dtcard1 and 2, no related with dtcard3 and 4. So if supervisor review the form and update the dtcardvalue to no, dtcard1 and 2 will be hidden and the value should be blank, dtcard3 and 4 will show for input, and if supervisor change back the dtcardvalue to no yes gain, dtcard1 and be show2 will be showed and the value should be same before change to no, dtcard3 and 4 will be hidden again.

If this is what you need, you can try use the dtcardvalue.Value. Like for visible property of dtcard1 and dtcard2 can use this code If(dtcardvalue.Value = true, true, false) for the property visible of dtcard1 and dtcard2 or If(dtcardvalue.Value = false, true, false) for the property visible of dtcard3 and dtcard4. For the value you can update the Default property in dtcardvalue1 (datacardvalue control in the card), so you can put this code below to dtcardvalue1 and dtcardvalue2 Default property:
If(dtcardvalue.Value = true, Parent.Default, Blank())

and for dtcardvalue3 and dtcardvalue4 Default property:

If(dtcardvalue.Value = false, Parent.Default, Blank())
