how to stop a parent filling out my app booking the same teacher at the same time/date

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone can help. 

I have created a app that stops a user booking a slot at the same time/date as another user 

the time slot is a drop down 

the date is a calendar component

the current code iv got works for this but I want to add in a teacher drop down so that a parent/user can book in with a teacher but I want this to be a system which stops the users from booking the same teacher/time/date as another 

my current code:

I need to add a teacher dropdown to this code and make it so no double bookings are possible.

I'm assuming you have some column in your data that designates the Teacher.  I am going to call this column Teacher.  In which case, your formula would just add that condition to the lookup:

Hi @RandyHayes ,

Thanks for this, although it doesn't seem to work correctly. With the code you said to put in I now am able to put in the same time, date and teacher without it stating an error to say pick another time/date?

When checking in my Sharepoint list too I can now see double bookings and this wasn't the case with the old code although under the teacher column nothing appears even though it is selected in the app

Why would this be? Any ideas? Do I need to add something else too?

What kind of column is "Teacher" in your datasource?  Text, or Person?

And the data in your list has actual Teacher Names in it that MATCH what is in the DropDown (letter by letter, upper and lower case)?

No so I have inputted the names in the drop down manually and the scenario is who ever you pick will appear in the list along side the other columns data for instance time slot and date column

with the time slot column (which is the other drop down in the app) I have set this as a text column too also inputted the times manually in the drop down itself and this seems to work perfectly 

what you recon it is?

Ah yes, just realized you are doing "Defaults" meaning creating a record.  You will certainly want the Teacher there as well.

I was assuming you were looking at existing data for the comparison.

That should do the trick for you.
