-in nd check-out

Hello Community,
I am creating the power app for tracking check-in time and check-out time of the employee but after the end user kills the app it restart and if the end use have checked-in it still provides the option for check-in and check-out i am stuck can someone can help me

i need my app to not to loose the progress means if the end user have checked-in and if the app is killed the app should be showing the checkout option only for that date itself

I am  assigned the task to create a power app for internal users to record their check-in and check-out time this is my objective.now i have created the application in power apps where i am able to record the time if end user is checkin or checkout but once the end user is killing the application it reset so if the user have already done checkin  still it shows that option of checkin and their will be a duplicate value in my splist for same date.

Hi @Anonymous ,

The issue is variables are temporary stored in the App and would be erased when the App being closed. So if user close the app, New.ID won't be found. The solution is on the check-out button to use another method to look up the stored records on the Name and Date. 

So, on your end, set variable is not needed any more. Just Patch on the check-in button and check-out button.

On the check-in button:

Patch(list, Defaults(list),{...,Date:Today(),...})

On the check-out button:

Patch(list, LookUp(list, Title = User().FullName && Date = Today()),{'Check-out':Now(),...})

Thanks for the reply i have tried your solution its works perfectly for checkout button but the end user is able to check-in for n number of time any solution for that ?

Hi @Anonymous ,

An easy way for this goal is to disable the check in button when there is a record for this user and the same day, so DisplayMode of the check-in button:

If(IsBlank(LookUp(list, Title = User().FullName && Date = Today())),DisplayMode.Edit,DisplayMode.Disabled)

This would disable the button based on the user name and the date if both match a record in the list.
