Hello,

I have to do a loging screen in one app. How should I do?

If were on php and mysql i could prepare a form with email and password to compare to data strored in a table.

But in power apps how can I do? Wich is the sintax?

I thought something like this:

If(_email.Text = Or('kuygonigh@tvf7iyugbh.com';'ioibguniouh@u5rtfg7hygu.com'); Navigate(page1;ScreenTransition.Fade); Navigate(pagina2;ScreenTransition.Fade));

But In this if there is not the comparison with data stored.

I know I Have to nest them! Didn'T I?

May be lookup can't compare values posted by a form with strings because I'm tryng and tryng but alway tells "me incompatible types for comparison. you can't compare these types: number, error"

MAy I share the app with you to take a chek?

@Utente_365_1fl
Indeed, if you are getting this error, you are buying incompatible securities. The data you have wrong is the error, you are not taking that parameter.

can you send me a screenshot?

I don't know if you can share the app, I have a developer tenant, try to share it with Jonunzueta@hotmail.com but I don't think it will let you to share it with external users.

I would have to give me a login of your tenant, and I understand that this is already more complicated.

@Utente_365_1fl

I think the error i on =Text('Admin')

what kind of colum is this field in dataverse, Text, optio.....

Seb and screenshot with the error please

The colum is a text kind, If I try to make it a number kind gives me the same errorerrore boolean.jpg

@Utente_365_1fl

OK create a new label and put LookUp(dpi_login;email=username_txt.text && password_txt &&   ruolo = "admin")

If return something give the result if puts and error give me the error

OK this is the result: the same I wrote before.

This is the error in italian:

tipi incompatibili per il confronto. Non puoi confrontare questi tipi: text, error. non è possibile valutare la formula perchè i valori confrontati nella formula sono dello stesso tipo.

This is the error in english: incompatible types for comparison. You can't compare these types: text, error. the formula cannot be evaluated because the values compared in the formula are of the same type

label.jpg

It's crazy: I rewrote the script in the button in the way you suggested, It plays. So I noticed that in the label was wrote baddly and I copied and pasted the code of the button in the label and gives me error😂

Anyway: in the button doesn't give me error. So the sintax is correct, going back to the first problem: Why ot doesn't acceps a second if in the true condition?

I done a second button "login 2 if" with the second If in the true value of the first if: gives me error: it expects a boolean value2if.jpg

this is the error: the argument type is invalid (record), a boolean value is expected

error 2 if.jpg

Solved!

I added another page where I put a button that check the rool of the user.

So:

  1. login page with button - on select property: f(
    !IsBlank(
    LookUp(
    dpi_login;
    email = username_txt.Text && password = password_txt.Text
    )
    );
    Navigate(
    check;
    ScreenTransition.Fade
    );
    Navigate(
    ERRORE;
    ScreenTransition.Fade
    )
    )
  2. this button cheks that the user exists, if not goes to the error page, else to the check page
  3. check page - a button with:If(
    !IsBlank(
    LookUp(
    dpi_login;
    email=username_txt.Text && ruolo="admin"
    )
    );
    Navigate(
    HOMEadmin;
    ScreenTransition.Fade
    );
    Navigate(
    HOMEoperaio;
    ScreenTransition.Fade
    )
    )
  4. if is admin goes to admin pages, else to the worker pages
