not able to save data in share point

Hi,

I am not able to store the values from power apps to the share-point list, 

For All(
Gallery 8. All Items,
Patch(
XXX Collection,
Defaults(XXX Collection),
{
Date: Text(Today() ,Date Time Format .Short Date),
'Project Hours': Value(PH,Text),
'Meeting Hours': Value(MH. Text),

note:collection was created using the  share point list

Please note on the Patch should contain your SharePoint Datasource not the Collection. Also are you Patching the items in the Gallery or a collection to SharePoint

@eka24 I am trying to patch the items in gallery through collection to share point, correct me if am wrong because am a beginner, i might be wrong. please recommend a solution

Hi Pricilla,

You need to change the below value 

'Project Hours': Value(PH,Text) to 'Project Hours': Value(PH.Text)

The approach should be;

1. Push data from Gallery to Collection

2. Then patch the Collection to Sharepointlist

3. It can also be Patching from Gallery to Sharepointlist directly.

It seems you are dealing with point 3. That is why I suggested you change the formula:

so change the beginning formula to:

For All(
Gallery 8. All Items,
Patch(Sharepointlist,
Defaults(Sharepointlist),
{Date: Text(Today() ,Date Time Format .Short Date),
'Project Hours': Value(PH,Text),
'Meeting Hours': Value(MH. Text),

If your issue is point I &2, take a screenshot of the collection with it columns in Powerapps at FILE.. COLLECTION

@eka24 , screenshot of the code, even if i go with your approach of 1 & 2 or with 3 alone, am getting errors, please refer my 1st screenshot for the text boxes.

In the below screenshot i have the share point list columns to the left and the text box names in power apps to the right, also i want multiple users to access this app planning to create share point list for each person as everyone should enter their hours on daily basis. 

Note: I want a particular person to see only their information when they open the app. TIA

I have made some observations;

1. Add another bracket ) to the end of the patch. That is before Set

2. Remove the last comma , after SDT.Text

3. Finally I assume all the textboxes are inside the Gallery8 including SDT.Text

@eka24 thanks, the data is getting stored in the share point list but the issue was that the text box data type didn't match with the column data type. 

Can you help with this? I want multiple users to access this app planning to create share point list for each person as everyone should enter their hours on daily basis.

I want to understand. The data save to the Datasource correctly. But you want user to see only his/ her record in Powerapps?

@eka24 yes, that's the issue, or please suggest me a method, does creating a share point list for each individuals is the right way to do it?
