power app mobile version cannot view the video

Dear All

I have created the power app. it can view the pictures and video. I run it from pc version power app and no problem find with play video. but when I using mobile access to power app, it cannot view the video, please see the screens. and hope can help me to find the solution asap. thanks

How did you get the video? What is the source of Media? Could you please try to use SampleVideo to see if it can display in mobile?

Since I just want to confirm this issue is caused by the video control self or the source of video.

I made a test on my side, I just found the video can display in my iOS phone well if the media source is from SampleVideo or Video uploaded from Local. 

So I believe the issue is caused by your media source, your phone net work can't load it or something like. Please share more information about it.

What is the source of your pictures and video - is it SharePoint? Logging into your PowerApp does not log you into SharePoint, so if the source for your pictures/videos is a link to an file in a SharePoint library it may not work, particularly on mobile.

For images the workaround is to get the image thumbnail through your App: add the library to your PowerApp as a datasource and use a LookUp or Gallery based on that datasource to show the file's thumbnail. The thumbnail images (as the name suggests) are lower resolution but probably OK for most mobile needs).

Not sure what you can do about your video other than host it somewhere outside of SharePoint.

@PaulD1 is correct in that Power Apps resolves URLs anonymously. We actually upload ours to YouTube with a "link only" share - they work fine on iPads.

I agree with their points of view, please consider uploading video files to YouTube or Azure Media Services.

if I put the video into other web such YouTube othe other, then I need to copy or upload to those website everything if got any new. then that power app mobile won't work video to get the video file from share point.

Yes - you would have to update YouTube as well. I use this on the PC as well, however if you want to detect if the device is a mobile item, you can test with something like

Set(
   varMobile,
   Acceleration.X > 0 || Location.Altitude > 0
)

and if varMobile is true, run the YouTube link, otherwise the SharePoint link.

There is simply no way to display SharePoint 'external' URL-based links on mobile devices.
