"New Form" not submitting due to required fields not being populated, even when they are populated

Hi all!

I have customised a form for my list using Power Apps. I have customised the form with a series of dropdown lists that pulls information from a separate, master list. I've published the new form to my list and filled it out, but when I try to submit by pressing the "Save" box at the top, I am presented with the below error boxes. 

The columns are required columns within my list and ideally I'd like to keep them as that. Does anyone know what is stopping the data being posted to the list?

is your data source SharePoint?

I learnt it was best not to have them as required fields in SharePoint, but rather, have the logic occur in PowerApps.

Make sure that the update property of the card reflects the control inside.

Hi @Wilbike you can check the property of the Datacard for example (P4F ID) go to required property and set it to false.

But it is advisable you put the required control on the APP LEVEL. i mean inside the app. Because if you put it on the List Level, even if you can control it in the APP, when you want to save, it will still trigger that the field must have a value.

So better to choose whether to make a field compulsory or not inside the APP itself not on the list. Except its a primaryKey column.

Is it possible you did not update the "update" property of the card so it still depends on a default textbox? Make sure the dropdown is the one that updates the field

I think this may be the reason why. The current formula I have in the update property isn't be allowed, however that is the value I wish to update in my list. Any thoughts?

Could you share what is the structure of the items in DatacardValue2? It's not usual "value" is on lowercase, it maybe just changing the V to upper.

Good spot! I just changed the lowercase v to uppercase but unfortunately that didn't solve the issue.

I can certainly share the items in DatacardValue2 - It's pulling IDs from a different list called Implementing Projects:

Cool, and in Projects Implementation, what is the name of the column you want to use?

If it's ID, then your formula on the update property should be 'DataCardValue2.Selected.ID'. You just need to reference the column name, the autocomplete shoudl help you there.
