re-define save button

Hello all,

I've a sharepoint list and we created a canvas app to add and display records in a form.

Actually, form my sharepoint list, clicking on the  New (Nouveau) button opens the form and allow me to create a new record. Then, when I need to save it, i just click on the Save (Sauvegarder) option of the menu. In this case, the form is closed and the record saved.

Now, I'd like to change this behaviour and I'd like that when I click on the save button ; the record is saved but the forms remains open with this record but no more in eddition modus but display modus because I've to make another operation.

My problem is that I dont know where can I change the operations of the standard Save button ...  : I wanted to add something like :

SubmitForm(Form1);;
Set(varID, Form1.LastSubmit.ID);;
ResetForm(Form1);;
LookUp(Form1; ID = varID)

But I dont know where

Can you point me in the right direction ?

This time it worked fine !! New record was added and the form displayed it. 

Still have to understand why I can't add a sub-process (the button remains greyed out)  after having saved my new record .. 

But I think you already spend a lot of time for me .. so I dont want to disturb you anymore ... 😉

What code is in the DisplayMode property behind the button?

If(SharePointForm1.Mode = FormMode.New || SharePointForm1.Mode = FormMode.Edit; DisplayMode.Disabled; DisplayMode.Edit)

But in our case, the form mode should be view isnt it ?

Is the button inside or on top of the form?

Maybe I can replace in the formula

If(SharePointForm1.Mode = FormMode.New || SharePointForm1.Mode = FormMode.Edit; DisplayMode.Disabled; DisplayMode.Edit)

with

If(VarFormMode.Mode = FormMode.New || VarFormMode.Mode = FormMode.Edit; DisplayMode.Disabled; DisplayMode.Edit)

Is that button that your arrow is pointing to:
Inside a card within a form?
OR
Standing on its own outside of a form?

I think the Button is inside the form... checking it...

I'm not on my computer anymore but according to a pic I sent previously the Button is outside a form but inside a container. I'd be able to confirm that in about half an hour
