sending email on If condition on a yes/no toggle

Hi,

I've done this on a dropdown on another form and it works fine, but currently on another form, my SPO list has a yes/no coloumn.

I'm trying to send 2 different emails to 2 different users depending on if the toggle is set to true or false.

On my submit button OnSelect I have SubmitForm(Form1)
OnSuccess I have:

If(DataCardValue70.Value = false, Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(Form1.LastSubmit.ManagerEmail.Email, CurrentUser.FullName & " 0000000000000000: " & DataCardValue77, "0000000000<br> 00000000000:" & DataCardValue67.Selected.Value & " <br> 0000000000.  <br>  <a href='https://00000000000000&St=" & Form1.LastSubmit.ID & "'> Link to submitted form </a> ",{Cc:CurrentUser.Email});

If(DataCardValue70.Value = true, Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2("hardcodedusersemail.com", "Ref: "  & DataCardValue77 & " 00000000000", "00000000000000. <br> 000000000000" & DataCardValue155.Text & " <br> 000000000000<br>  <a href='https://apps.powerapps.com/play/000000000000&St=" & Form1.LastSubmit.ID & "'> Link to submitted form </a> ",{Cc:CurrentUser.Email}));
Navigate(SuccessScreen))

The email do not trigger if Datacardvalue70 is set to yes or no (toggle), but the navigation to the SuccessScreen does trigger.

I'm unsure if this is something I cannot do or if i'm doing something wrong?

Hi @Lefty ,

The logic of this code is not quite right.

The syntax of If function:

If( Condition1, ThenResult1 [, Condition2, ThenResult2, ... [ , DefaultResult ] ] )

please modify as follows.

If(DataCardValue70.Value = false, Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(Form1.LastSubmit.ManagerEmail.Email, CurrentUser.FullName & " 0000000000000000: " & DataCardValue77, "0000000000<br> 00000000000:" & DataCardValue67.Selected.Value & " <br> 0000000000.  <br>  <a href='https://00000000000000&St=" & Form1.LastSubmit.ID & "'> Link to submitted form </a> ",{Cc:CurrentUser.Email});
Navigate(SuccessScreen),

DataCardValue70.Value = true, Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2("hardcodedusersemail.com", "Ref: "  & DataCardValue77 & " 00000000000", "00000000000000. <br> 000000000000" & DataCardValue155.Text & " <br> 000000000000<br>  <a href='https://apps.powerapps.com/play/000000000000&St=" & Form1.LastSubmit.ID & "'> Link to submitted form </a> ",{Cc:CurrentUser.Email});
Navigate(SuccessScreen)
)

If this still doesn't work, try to replace DataCardValue70.Value to Form1.LastSubmit.'yes/no'.

If(Form1.LastSubmit.'yes/no' = false, Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(Form1.LastSubmit.ManagerEmail.Email, CurrentUser.FullName & " 0000000000000000: " & DataCardValue77, "0000000000<br> 00000000000:" & DataCardValue67.Selected.Value & " <br> 0000000000.  <br>  <a href='https://00000000000000&St=" & Form1.LastSubmit.ID & "'> Link to submitted form </a> ",{Cc:CurrentUser.Email});
Navigate(SuccessScreen),

Form1.LastSubmit.'yes/no' = true, Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2("hardcodedusersemail.com", "Ref: "  & DataCardValue77 & " 00000000000", "00000000000000. <br> 000000000000" & DataCardValue155.Text & " <br> 000000000000<br>  <a href='https://apps.powerapps.com/play/000000000000&St=" & Form1.LastSubmit.ID & "'> Link to submitted form </a> ",{Cc:CurrentUser.Email});
Navigate(SuccessScreen)
)

Hope this helps.

Is the Toggle connected to the YES NO field in the Sharepoint list?

If so Change the

If(DataCardValue70.Value = true to If(DataCardValue70.Value = 1

Try:

If(LookUp(Datasource, YesNoColumn=1),

If you still have issues, Please state how it worked with the dropdown

@v-siky-msft

Neither work

I have amended the code based on your first suggestion and no email was received when the toggle was set to false

I have also amended my code based on your second suggestion to

If(Form1.LastSubmit.TechReview = false,

But still nothing happened, i dont have any errors in the code, so unsure why it's not triggering the email

@eka24

Tried that too, it doesn't like the lookup, tried a few ways, non work:

If(LookUp(ListName,TechReview = false),

//Or I tried

If(LookUp(ListName,TechReview = 1),

//Or I tried

If(LookUp(ListName,TechReview = "No"),

On the other form, this is what I have, and it works, but at mentioned on the other form its not a Yes/No field its a choice field from SPO :

If(DataCardValue20.Selected.Value = "Rejected",
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(Form1.LastSubmit.YourName.Email,
));
Navigate(SuccessScreen, Fade);

Hi @Lefty ,

The If logic should work.

Could you please check if the Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2 works?

I suggest you put the Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2 code to a Button.OnSelect in order to trigger it manually to check if it can work properly.

And I feel confused with DataCardValue77 in the code. What is it? Please Change it to reference its value instead of the control itself.
