viewing a gallery item over multiple screens

HI,

I have an app with multiple screens and multiple forms on those screens.

But when I want to view an item from the gallery I can only see the info on the first screen when going to the next screen it shows a New Form.

I need to switch between new and edit

I added screen shots of each screen,

thanks for the help

I use the onselet from the icon in the galery and set it like:
Set(glbCurrentRecord, ThisItem);
ResetForm(infoForm_GeneralInfoMaster);ResetForm(Formcontact);
Navigate('WR General info screen')
I don't use the onselect from the galery is this an isue?

@StijnDekimpe

That is all fine.  You can do it off of the Icon without needing the OnSelect of the Gallery.

However, you seem to be resetting forms that your picture doesn't show.

I believe you want your formula to be resetting the forms listed shown in the picture

Are these your new forms?  If you are using the approach that I suggested, then you usually also have a master form.

SO in the gallery i reset my Master and the picture shows the onreset command in the masterform.

These are all the forms in the next screen and an extra form in another screen

@StijnDekimpe

Got it.

So then the next thing I would check is the Item property of all of the forms and make sure it is set the the glbCurrentRecord.

However, in reviewing your pictures again, the form you show does seem to have the correct information from the SharePoint record, so now I am confused as to what the problem is.

Also...what is the Items property of your Gallery?

In the sharepoint list number of samples is 20 before it was 50 what it is still showing.

item property gallery:

Filter('Work Request',
If(MyWRToggle.Value, 'Created By'.DisplayName = VarUserFullName,true),
SearchAll.Text in 'Request Type'.Value || SearchAll.Text in ComplaintType.Value || SearchAll.Text in Progress.Value)

The forms have all glbCurrenRecord
It seems that the glbCurrenRecord is a picture taken with the first submit, and it doesn't pickup the changes done afterwards

@StijnDekimpe

So, if I am reading correctly what you are saying, your stating that you submit the form and it returns you to the Gallery, if you select any other item in the gallery, you are not seeing the changes?

Sorry if I am misunderstanding.

I fill in a new form, I submit on sucess it go's to the completed screen when you click there on an item you go to the start screen.

If I then open an item and fill in extra fields or change a field it saves that data to the sharepoint but when I then open the item again true the gallery it doesn't show the new data it's still the old data filled in the first time.

@StijnDekimpe

Let me fill in a little more to make sure that I am getting a complete picture of your scenario:

  1. User is on the screen with the gallery of items.
  2. They click new item
  3. They are on the form and fill it in, screen by screen.
  4. They submit
  5. They are taken to a "completed screen"
  6. They click some button that returns them to the first screen with the gallery.
  7. They click on an icon for the item they want to edit
  8. They are taken to the form and it has THE CORRECT information in it.
  9. They edit some information and submit it
  10. They are taken to a "Completed screen"
  11. They click some button that returns them to the first screen with the gallery.
  12. They click on an icon for the item they JUST edited
  13. They are taken to the form and it has THE OLD information in it.

Does the above chain of events match what you are saying?

It was my default value of the amount boards.

I wanted it to show 0 in a new form so I put default on 0 where I should had moved the slider to 0

default back to parent.default all is working fine now.

thanks for your help

yes indeed except it's a start screen where you first click on the gallery icon or on a new WR icon.

i resolved the view but it keeps showing the old data indeed it doesn't pick up also if you change date or ad data in an old item this isn't saved to the sharepointlist. however if I change and save something in the list itself true the form and not the app it is showing the wright data
