what are the different ways to Reset Gallery and date picker control in power apps?

Hello,

I have a power apps application in which I am using gallery control and date picker control.

I want to reset those controls on the button click.

I am using the Reset() function of power apps on the OnSelect property of the button. but it's not working.

I am not sure what I am missing.

I want to know what are other ways to reset gallery and date picker control in power apps.

Help is really appreciated!!!

In reseting the Gallery, you may have to refresh the Datasource of the Gallery,

Example Refresh(Datasource)

DatePicker:

Create a variable on the Button:

Set(ResetDate,true)

Then in the Reset property of the DatePicker put:

ResetDate

The only way to reset controls is to use Reset function.

If your data not refresh , you could add refresh function.

To refresh a gallery or a datepicker, you could set a button's OnSelect like this:

Refresh(datasource);Reset(datepicker);Reset(gallery)
//please replace with data source name,datepicker name, gallery name

However, please notice that: 

The reset function is used to reset one control to its default property. While the default property of gallery is to set the gallery's default selected item. 

If you reset one gallery, you just reset one gallery's selected item to its default selected item.

So in your issue, do you mean that: to reset datepicker inside a gallery?

In this situation, using a button outside the gallery to reset the datepicker or the gallery does not meet your demands.

The solution is:
insert a button side the gallery. Then set the button's OnSelect:

Reset(DatePicker5)

If you want to reset one datepicker in one item, you just need to click the button in that item.
