I think the issue is with the cache file or the browser may be but though I would recommend, if can share me which of the SVG image you are able to update and which is not because during task I uploaded 2 images and it worked well. Just make sure if the naming convention is right and the file you are uploading is the correct one.
Do share more details, I will try best to help you out on this one.

Can you verify you have the following trusted site brower cookies as the behavior you are getting should not be happening if uploading small svg files.

So when I try to upload an image in the location solution it keeps asking me to use a scalable vector graphic (.svg) with transparency enabled. I have uploaded the screenshots for your perusal.

Use the resource file which has been shared for the power up training program, if you are not able to find just click on the link right side of the screen below the training session it will be showing you Resources.
