Import Excel 'Additional Locations' Failure

Hello

I am working through Building Model-Driven Apps for a school with Microsoft Dataverse, section 16. How to populate Dataverse tables with data and am trying to use the import data functionality.

Following along with video 16, I have imported the data 'AdditionalLocations.xlsx' from the course files, corrected the column mapping, but the import still fails with the follow error message:

General error: Type=Microsoft.Dynamics.Integrator.Exceptions.IntegratorClientException, Msg=Unable to parse import file a7eb2b8220954f62b1c9fddb22e0d956_AdditionalLocations.xlsx Error details PQOnline failure - Type=System.Net.WebException, Msg=The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Kirstyn__ ,

In a similar topic, the suggestion is made to change the file extension from .xlsx to .csv to resolve the issue: Solved: Re: Error when uploading additional locations file - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com...

@Ash121 , this seems to be a recurring topic that can be easily fixed by changing the file extension in the resources, so learners don't have to do that after downloading the file.

Hi all,

I had the exact same issue and converting the file to a CSV has rectified the issue. Thank you.

Hi All,

My data has a comma in one of field values.

Converting CSV will override my values and corrupt file right.

What to do in such cases

Thanks. I had the same problem. So I saved the file as .csv, and it worked.

Hi,

Converting to CSV didnt solve the problem totally for me..

When I go to 'Map Columns' its showing this error now:

Warning: The following source file columns have not been mapped to Location fields: PK![Content_Types].xml (Mo@VxHUTarHcTux~igHwA7╽xƞl- r(

When I select the description drop down the only options I have no are the error above or None

Have I missed something??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
