Issue with Importing CSV file - 3 rows missing

Hi there,

While importing the CSV file, only two rows are showing and three rows are missing based on what was shared by the instructor.  I noticed five rows are available on the CSV file. Please refer to the image below and advise ? Thank you.

Hi @Tiana_Fash ,

Just a few things to look after when doing this exercise:

1. Import method: As mentioned in the video, there are multiple ways to import data. The one that is being demonstrated is when playing the app. When trying to import via the solutino explorer I ran into an issue where the MaintenanceLogName column gave an error since it is a required field, but it is an autonumber field, meaning a value can´t be provided. Also the mapping had to be done mostly manually. These are all not an issue when importing via the app.

2. File extension: With the course resources there are two similar files available MaintenanceLogs.csv and MaintenanceLogs.xlsx. Use the first one. Although the data looks the same, the files are structured differently which may cause issues.

3. Date formatting: The data in the file is formatted as mm/dd/yyyy, which is the data formatting for English (United States). During and earlier video you may have changed the language settings to English (United Kingdom), which means you have to change this back or else the values are not recognised as valid.

4. LookUp values: Some of the values for the Service Area column may not exist in your Service Areas table which will make the LookUp fail. To prevent this, make sure the following areas are in your Service Areas table: Plumbing, Electrical, Cleaning, Building, Carpentry. (please note there is one intentional error in here, same as in the video).

@BCBuizer , thank you. I had to change browser and realized it has been imported thrice into the App , and I hope this wont be a problem later.  Thanks for your continued guidance.

What browser did you use? I tried all of them.

I've had the most success using an InPrivate window in Edge.
