Hi @HeenaS ,

In this topic you can find multiple possible reasons and their fix that may cause issues when importing data: Solved: Re: Issue with Importing CSV file - 3 rows missing - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com...

Hi @Ignacio-G ,

Depending on your machine language settings, converting to .csv may save the file with semicolons as separators instead of commas. As I can see from your screenshot this is the case for you:

This can be fixed by editing the file in Notepad and replacing all semicolons with commas.

Alternatively you can download the .csv file from the course resources since that is already set up to work.

Hi @BCBuizer

The link you have provided refers to importing Maintenance Log, rather than to importing Addition Location. I am having  the same error as HeenaS.

Could you please shed some light on this please?

Many thanks

Hi both, I saved the file as csv and it worked. Thanks!

Hello everyone!

I have exactly the same problem and I don't think the solution is to change the extension of the file since in this section another way of importing is being given, that is, it is showing how to import a file in excel, in csv it has already been tried in the first part of the video.

Furthermore, when changing the extension from xlsx to csv it does not recognize the different columns, it understands that there is only one column and when importing it what I show in the image happens and I do not think that the solution to this is to go record by record fixing it because then There is no point in importing.

So how can we solve the error that we are getting by following the course when importing an Excel file?

Greetings and thanks

Hi @ElenaAA ,

Can you please try downloading the .csv file from the course resources? The file you are using may have gotten corrupted.

Save as .csv is what was told to do before import it.

This is what I have done before and it does not detect the columns, it detects everything as a single column and comes out like the image I showed before.

Anyway, in the course, in the video you can see how the instructor is importing an excel not a csv.The csv already does it in the first part of the session.

And I downloaded the file again and it still does the same thing.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

In order to import it, I had to do it as shown in the first part of the session with the other file.

So what happens? Can only csv files be imported into the tables from the other section? Does this section not work?

Greetings!
