This video demonstrates the Power Apps Event Manager Template. If you want to bring an Ignite-like experience to your next internal event then this template is for you! This template includes a canvas app for users to browse sessions and add them to their schedule, as well as a place to get session slide decks and recordings. It also include a Model Driven app to manage the back-end of the event (sessions, speakers, evaluations, faq's, etc). I'll show you how it works, some areas you can customize and how to install.

@aprildunnam - This template is incredible and the demos are great! I'd love to import the conference app solution; however I am getting an import solution error (
SecLib::CheckPrivilege failed. User: [userid], PrivilegeName: prvCreateEntity, PrivilegeId: 341e3ebf-74b8-4335-84f3-7f617bb7d081, Required Depth: Basic, BusinessUnitId: [business unit id], MetadataCache Privileges Count: 4568, User Privileges Count: 1237) - Attached is the download log with more details. Is there something I can do to lessen the size of the solution or components I could remove?
If I'm unable to use the solution, would it be possible to share the structure of the data sources for this so that I can recreate them in SharePoint? I would love to use this template as I think it's fantastic.
Thank you in advance!
Kendra
@aprildunnam - I've figured out the issue - it had to do with environments. Once my employer established a sandbox environment for me, then I could import the solution with no trouble. I thought I'd post this in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. So excited to be able to use this template! Thank you!
Hi!
Love the app!
One thing that would be a huge benefit would be to auto display whatever dates have been added or exist that are upcoming, or to filter by past or future rather than having to hard code those dates because an end user adding an event won't know how to hard code their dates in PowerApps and wouldn't want to have to request that of an app developer.
Thanks much for this!
Any special licensing requirement to use this solution?
Thank you.
