I was wondering if there would be any way for a Community Members to be able to see their own Rank History (The path that got them to the rank at which they currently reside) similar to the example shown in the Announcement for Ranks post.

Thanks for reaching out! I am glad that you are curious about the community ranking system! Ideally, what you've said is correct. And yes, you do move through the ranks based upon your level of contribution in each category. The way that we built the formula and criteria behind each rank suggests that users will progress through the ranks as displayed in the announcement article that you reviewed.
There will be exceptions when users are not making the "average" or "expected" number of each type of community contribution, and they move through the ranks in slightly different patterns. The rank formulas were created so that hopefully it does take some time and dedication to get to the upper ranks in each category, but I can assure you that those formulas also allow folks to not have to move through every single rank to get to a combination rank. Those folks would be the exceptions that I mentioned.
Another important thing to remember is that the community ranks were automatically applied to everyone's profile. So, if a user had any community contribution data before the launch of these optimized ranks, it also had an effect on the rank they started with and how they move through the ranks as well. We did our best to create a system that worked well for everyone no matter where they were in their Power Platform community journey.
As a "Responsive Resident" you are currently in one of the lower ranks in the upper-rank category called "Combination Ranks". The rank categories are separated by type of contribution, and they progress from least to most valued contributions. (Kudos > Replies > Solutions Authored > Combination Ranks) Some folks may not move through every single "Advocate" rank, because receiving kudos can happen at an unpredictable rate. Just because a post or reply has lots of kudos doesn't mean it's a worthy solution. Because acquiring authored solutions is the most impactful contribution you can make on this support community, the upper ranks consist mostly of "Resolver" (Solutions) and "Helper" (Replies) ranks. Most users who choose to contribute to the community will move through all the "Resolver" & "Helper" ranks because making replies and authoring solutions don't depend on folks giving your content kudos and if a reply has been accepted as a solution you can almost guarantee it has been verified as a valid solution.
In conclusion; you may move through the ranks and make it to the upper combination ranks without moving through every single "Advocate" rank.

That is the "announcement" to which I was referring in my original post. I should have said article or post, not announcement.
Are you saying that the progression that is presented in that article ("Helper I to Advocate I to Helper II to Helper III to Advocate II, etc) is the ONLY route by which a person can progress through the ranks? I was under the impression that progression through each of the rank categories was dependent on your activity in that category.
For example, if I post a lot, but none of my posts are ever kudoed, I would expect to progress through the Helper category, but not through the Advocate category. If the progression shown in the article is the only path, then in my example, I'll never get past the Helper I level, because I need to receive/give kudos to achieve the Advocate I level.
Does that make sense?

It was just a matter of my curiosity, as I didn't think of the progression as having been optimized for the most likely path for an average user. I had thought it would be pretty different for everyone; so I was curious to see how my personal progression lined up with the "example" progression. I also neglected to take into account the fact that users with contribution history before the implementation of the ranks wouldn't necessarily have a progression, but would be assigned a rank based on their extant contributions.
And, finally, it occurred to me after my original post that being able to see my exact progression would enable me to back into the exact criteria that got me to that rank, which was intentionally left to be mysterious per the article. So, I therefore consider my curiosity satisfied.

The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
