Can we add HTML between form steps and keep the same font type/size?

I have been asked to add lengthy HTML in the middle of some step forms

Ideally I'd want to avoid using 'HTML web resource' as it involves manual work if we update the texts, also the fonts don't match the ones that the form has

I attempted to just create one page, insert Text, amended the font from there to Arial 12 and works fine, then inserted a form that has one field and so user can submit it, however I can't seem to add that page onto a step form - is there a way to link that page to the multi step form without losing the parameters?

At the moment I have 9 steps in multistep form, trying to insert HTML in page 2 and probably in page 10

Thank you

You Web Resource is its own HTML you can just put a style block at the top of it (or use inline styles on the tags).

The GDPR stuff is more at the time you sign-in/register.

A Web Page with just text = no.

Depending on what you need to do:

  • Embed Web Resource, font size etc is just down to you providing the correct CSS for it.
  • If its to add a replacement label or extra text to an existing field, can try adding a Metadata record (from the Portal/Power Pages Management App) to the field (will not have as much length as Web Resource)
  • Add your additional text using JavaScript/JQuery (depending on your scenario this can be extended to reading from another record, e.g. in the Web Template using direct table access or fetchxml)
  • If its an edit form, add a multi line text field to your form, (can turn off display label if desired) make it readonly. and populate the field with the desired text on create of the record via realtime workflow or plugin (so when it is on an edit form it is populated)

Thank you @Fubar it is rather over complicated, it will be a long Terms and Conditions before they submit the form and after, so I guess I have to do the Web Resource

I saw an old post where you could put your GDPR stuff, but the link no longer opens, and I guess I need it in a form to take the parameters with me

I tried adding customised .CSS but of course it changes the whole form's font, but not the HTML uploaded, how do I manage to get one font in all places?

I'm not sure how to target the web resource in the .CSS file

body {
  font-family: Arial !important;;
  font-size: 15px !important;;
  line-height: 1.42857;
  color: #666;
  background-color: #fff
}

Thank you for this @Fubar , I should have guessed I could just get an HTML editor to write the code for me, which I just did 🙂

I can finally 'almost' match the font, so it's not as gigantic, I tried a bit of inline styles, but HTML was faster to tackle

I guess I'll have to use Visual Studio code to save me from having to upload the file manually every time, thank you once again

<p> <span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"> Based on your answers, you will need the following minimal etc.<br>

<strong>Member details</strong><br>- Sample 1.<br>
- Sample 2.<br><br>

<strong>Payment details</strong><br>- Bank account details.

For anyone who needs a fast solution, just found out a bit late that XrmToolbox has a 'Webresources Manager' that makes updating HTML a breeze, simply push the changes to your enhanced data model website 🙂
