How to display an editable form in the last page with all their answers

I am trying to get to grips with the whole 'insert data from different forms into different tables', not too sure if it's possible the way I am building it below

If I do 1st form insert, and the rest as 'edit', the forms from other tables will not open

If I do the below, the last form will not open

Form 1 - Insert (main table)

Form 2 - Edit (main table)

Form 3 - Edit (main table)

Form 4 - Insert (Table 2)

Form 5 - Insert (Table 3)

Form 6 - Edit (main table)

How can I get hold of all the parameters I need to remember from the different forms and tables, and display all of the forms in one page as 'editable' so they can amend the data if necessary?

I read about local storage, but the samples aren't great, so unsure how to go about it

I hear a lot about workflow, but I didn't see any in action just yet

I believe I read you can create an 'Edit' version of a form, is this true? Do I just name it 'Edit Form 1' and that would work?

The insert/thing issue confuses me

Thank you!

Thank you @OliverRodrigues that is a very good point, it makes sense if it's just one record it could just stay in the main table

I personally prefer a main table with subgrids, this is just my first project and having to do things multiple times, a lot of trial and error 🙂

I still have to find out how to remember the parameters from the other tables, lots to do!

I'm almost at the end of the project, I tried adding a final step in multistep form, as a read only, it displays great

I was hoping to add some Javascript to that form to say if form has no data, don't display it, however I've never seen code able to target the name of the form, where would I find the ID for it, in Dev tools? What does it look like?

I was looking at Microsoft's documentation to add a quick view form but I can't find how to, when I look to add the quick form to the multistep form, it doesn't show up even after synchronising

I might try adding a yes/no flag to each form to see if user has filled it, and if it's a yes to display it in the last page, otherwise hide it

For the Quick View, make sure the Lookup it is tied to is on the form (it does not have to be visible but has to be on the form) check it by creating a Model Driven App if its not working in the model driven app then something isn't configured correctly.

If your last page is actually a standard Step, then you'll need to inspect the generated output in your browsers debugger to find the form etc

If your last page is actually redirected to a Web Page with multiple forms on it, then try doing it in Liquid - if you use the Code Editor for that Web Page you will find the sub-forms in "entityform" tags, the editor uses the name of the form to reference it (but can be created using id) you can wrap them in liquid "if" statements to not show them etc.

I managed to display a 'view your answers' in a standard step, with several forms as read only

I managed to clear the line with this CSS code for fields that didn't have an answer

[aria-hidden='true'] { visibility: hidden !important; }

The problem is that the labels are still displaying. Is there a way to pick them up and make them invisible with a loop or similar? What would the code look like?

I am still trying to figure out how to display a read only form in a multistep form from a different table

So far I added a related record button to the multistep form, save reference on save to that table B, but when I display that B form, the data is blank

I couldn't understand what the below meant, or whether there is a different way to display details from another table in the multistep form as read only

If your last page is actually a standard Step, then you'll need to inspect the generated output in your browsers debugger to find the form etc
