Multilevel Forms in Power Pages

Hello everyone,

Two questions:

1 - I have a need to set up a multilevel form in Power Pages that only submits the records on the last tab.

Currently the setup requires the first from of the set to create the record and the other steps to update/edit the already created record.

The need is to structure the information captured on the form in categories to make the completion of the form easier for the visitor.

2 - Is it possible to let the visitor jump randomly between the tabs in a multistep form?

And you've guessed it, the requirement is that this is not done in code (No JavaScript).

1 - every "next" would save the data in dataverse.. what I would suggest here is to control your record by stage/status, so you can keep your record in Draft or In Progress until you get to the last step, then you mark it as Submitted/Completed

2 - you can't achieve that OOB, you would need code for that

@OliverRodrigues  I would love to see some example code for doing this. I was looking for the exactly same thing @JohanITTSI1 was asking. Filling forms are not always linear progress. some people want to jump back and forth to fill out what they missed.  The basic form with auto generated tabs and the multistep forms don't provide any options for this.

Thank you @OliverRodrigues  I was checking Ulrikke blog 3-4 days ago. that could be one solution to the problem I have. But I would like to use the default multistep UI as much as possible. Any suggestion or reference docs for adding javascript/jQuery to enable me to use the default UI and to navigate across tabs?

Thank you,

Hi, as previously mentioned, there is no OOB configuration option for that. You can submit an idea oh Power Pages ideas.

Currently, this can only be achieved with code.
