The Power Pages Rich Text Editor Control has disappeared

Hi

The Power Pages Rich Text Editor Control has disappeared overnight from the new site I'm working on (and a previous site currently in test).

In the Data/Forms section I've had to remove and add it back in, so it now displays in the form creation area (see screenshot).

I've enabled control within the form on the page.

But the control is not visible/available.

When you try to type in the box it will only accept 1 character a time and you have to click back in the box every time you want to type.

Previous saved entries are just displaying HTML code.

Any clues how to fix this?

Likewise!  Thought it may have been something I had done, but I've re-checked all settings and they are still the same.

The Rich Text Editor control was visible and working correctly in all published forms up until the close of business on the 26th September in Melbourne, Australia.

Editor controls disappeared from the display of all published forms from 27 September (AM). Did not even appear in the Data >> Forms >> Editor, even though it was flagged as added to a field.

Have had to delete the fields with their RTE code component fields from the Forms within the Data >> Forms >> Editor and then re-add them just to get them to appear in this location.  However, they will still not appear in the published version of the form even when the "Enable Code-Component" flag is set.

Hi

Is there anyone from Microsoft able to comment.

I'm happy to raise a support ticket but if others are also affected this sounds like it's a wider issue than just local/environment settings.

Same here, I can't get the Rich Text Editor control on the Power Page. Environment Region - Australia

To confirm, I'm in the UK/Europe region so this looks likes its global and happened sometime during the 26/27th, I'm guessing as part of a Microsoft update.

Additionally, I also have a PowerApp sharing the same tables that carries out some admin options (I haven't quite figured out how to add these to Power Pages yet) and I've also had to unpick the Rich Text Editor from that as well, as it was getting really messy not being able to display HTML correctly in the Power Pages forms and views.

I Have the same issue here.

I have raised an Incident with Microsoft on the 25th and they are still struggling to fix this. This happens when an upgrade of a solution is completed.

They don't have an answer to this at the moment and its a severe issue because it afects live Power Apps.

Hi @dalemb

Thanks for the update.

Hopefully it won't take Microsoft too long to fix.

Hi,

Just to update all users here facing the same issue.

Microsoft is working on this, they identified the problem and are currently working on it. Meanwhile, if someone has a power page that relies on the rich text editor with the control, my advice is to contact them and they will apply a temporary fix on the Power Page. it worked for me.
