map component (geo location) not showing in forms - Power Pages

Hi,

i am trying to add a map component to get the location from the user in a form in Power Pages, and store it in my tables.

i followed the method for adding the map (geo location) to forms in the documentation but with no luck.

i have added the required fields, and the site settings and configured the form, but with no result, the map is not rendering.

is there any other way to allow the user to pin a location on map and get that location in Pages?

Not sure if this is the issue or not...

in the old days somethings would only work with certain Page/Web Templates - I think the map may have been one.  Depending on what you installed you may have a Page Template called Web Form - most things used to render with Web Form - if you have it check if it is the aspx one (the one with a Web Template also may not work), if you have the .aspx one try setting it as the Page Template for your Web Page (local content) to see it it works

(note: if you don't have the aspx you can create the Page Template for it manually - in the Portal Management App - create a new Page Template of Type = rewrite and in the ReWrite Url use  ~/Pages/WebForm.aspx  )

Thank you for your response and sorry for the late reply i got caught in another issue.

unfortunately, this didn't work. i created a new Page Template with rewrite and the Rewrite URL '~/Pages/WebForm.aspx', but still no luck, the form renders the fields as is with no map section.

my other option is to use JavaScript injection to embed a map within the form or show it in a popup and update the form accordingly.

I have got the Map to show for a Basic Form, but only if your form is in a modal (popup) window e.g. you open Basic form off a List with edit option set to basic form - the info box a little bit down this link says only modal https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/portals/configure/entity-forms#geolocation-config....

and you have it setup correctly - Section with correct naming convention for its name etc as per the Add Geocode link (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/portals/configure/add-geolocation) on the link in your post.

Can't it done use pcf component ? I mean adding pcf to a form and then enabling the component from power page edit field section
