@davilaomg - glad to hear that you were able to make some progress. That was a teaser, $5 to open each actions jk 🙂

Ok, I just tested on my dev tenant and got this working end to end (create to update). Give below a try and let us know if you have any further questions.

PowerAutomate-EventsAddUpdate-CompleteSol.png

Set variable "SPEventId" to

first(outputs('Event_found_update_the_event_in_SP_list')?['body/value'])?['Id']

Note: Follow naming conventions for prod deployment.

Thanks

Hi @davilaomg - try using "Is Updated" event flag as shown below (or you could also use "Is Added" event flag) to make insert/update to your SP list. This will avoid duplicates in SP list.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

so far so good and then when i go to test it  but updating a calendar invite - it makes those changes on everything in the list .

can you further open your updated and create so that i can see how to solve this?

@UdayAdhikari

This is looking promising!! might get your $10 lol

what type of variable is it - when i get down to update item it still doesnt allow me to put it in the id field.

Deal! Haha... The variable is of type string to store calendar event id which is a GUID.

getting this error - resource not found? @UdayAdhikari

@davilaomg - are you getting error on Set variable step? If so, instead of copy/paste of the expression please build it manually by matching what I provided above. Once you get pass assigning the value to the variable confirm you have correct SP list columns mapped to right values and see if it works. Keep me posted.

Thanks

I may just be horrible at this - but im getting errors 😞 I attached screen shots - it doest even allow me to use the variable inside of the id for Update Item.  I appreciate your work here and sorry its taking a while @UdayAdhikari Screen Shot 2020-08-18 at 8.40.13 AM.pngScreen Shot 2020-08-18 at 8.40.32 AM.pngScreen Shot 2020-08-18 at 8.40.44 AM.png

@davilaomg  - I see that you copied the texts as is in "Set variable". If you check my screen capture, you will see I have first(..). You need to build the expression.

  1. clear "Value" in Set variable step
  2. confirm cursor is in "Value" field
  3. build the expression as belowPowerAutomate-EventsAddUpdate-BuildExpression.png

   Almost there!

Keep us posted how it goes!

Thanks

sorry i fixed that after and the option still doesnt show up to put that as a field - is there a way of you creating a template that i can use? Screen Shot 2020-08-18 at 12.38.33 PM.png

Now, click on any text field in the list and select SPEventID from Dynamic content. Next, copy/cut and paste it to Id field.

Hope this help!
