Approval email for a manager, doesn't work

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Flow, so i'm basically testing simple flows to see if it works with Me, my Manager and some colleagues.
I've been testing a simple Approval flow, that sends an email to someone once a file is added to a Sharepoint site, and that person has to approve the file or not.
It worked fine for me... only when I put my own email adress as the Approver.

Once I try to put my manager Email adress or some other colleagues email adress, the Flows itself works fine, but they never receive any approval email.
Any idea where it comes from ?
Is there a particular settings that needs to be done, since  one has ever used Flow before ?

Thanks in advance for your help

First, can you post a screen shot of your Flow - that will be a big help in trying to assist you.

Also, do the others who you are entering as the approver have a Flow license?  Are you using Office 365?

Everything that @ScottShearer says, plus I would verify that all the users involved have access to the library where the files are being added.

Thank you all for answering

@ScottShearer yes, all the approvers I've been testing the flow with have the Microsoft Flow license, and they all have Microsoft Office 365

@Pstork1 the approvers are all members of the Sharepoint site where the flow is applied, and have access to the files

Do you use Office 365 Exchange online for your email system or are you using an on-premises system or something else?

@Pstork1 I don't know if this screenshot answer your question properly, but I have Outlook Online included and it says "Microsoft Exchange" in my account information section, on Outlook 2013

@sergeluca I've been trying to drop down the "Star an Approval" button to check that information, but it doesn't work when I click on it.

To check if the approval has been sent go to the Approvals tab in teh Flow website and click on Recieved.  You should see cards for any approvals that you sent via a Flow.

I meant the approvals as illustrated in this pictureapprovals.PNG

Thanks, I forgot about this...

So here's the results :

There is no "Sent" Approvals track for the flows that I have been testing this week. The last are from last month...

But the strange part is : There already has been Approval flows sent to one of my manager (as we can see from the screenshot) but he never received them.

If you aren't seeing them in the Sent tab then the Approvals aren't being sent at all and there is something misfiring in your Flow.  Check the last run to see what succeded and what didn't

Hi @Anonymous ,

I noticed that you are using Approval action that appears to be the previous version. Are you using the old template to configure Flow?

Please try to configure Flow using Approval action that is now included in Approval connector.

In addition, if Approver can see the Approval request received in Approvals-Received, please check if Approval email is marked as spam.

@Pstork1

Finally, I found all the Sent approval track, the last ones were just at the bottom of the list.
We also figured out that my manager as been receiving many of the approval request I've been sending, but he can only see them from Approval Center, and still doesn't receive any Approval Request by email .

I've been in contact by Skype with a Microsoft Support Engineer and she said the problem has been transfered to the Approval connector Team.

But if you have any idea where the probleme could lie, I am all ears.
