Approval email notif received twice by first Approver

Hi! I have a flow that works great, except when a New item is created, the first Signer/Approver gets the email notification twice. The rest get only one. I use Approve/Reject - First to respond.

From my flow, Approval email only needs to be sent if the Status changed from New to Pending.

Both Update item Signers and Update item Pending actions change the status from New to Pending.

My trigger has this Setting:

@Or( equals(triggerBody()?['Status']?['Value'], 'New'), equals(triggerBody()?['Status']?['Value'], 'Pending') )

Flow keeps running / loops until the last Signer makes a decision.

Can someone please help me figure out the issue? Here is the part of the flow up until the Approval email is sent:

So you have passed multiple approvers details/emails to this action and the first person/approver receives notification twice, is that the problem u are facing correct- i.e only for create item ?

That is correct. My trigger though is 'When an item is created or modified'. 

Is that why it runs twice?

An item is created, its status is 'New'. After checking if anyone is away, updates Signers, changes status to 'Pending', it loops back to the start? If no one is away, updates status to 'Pending' and also loops back to the start?

Sorry i understand the question in wrong way, now got it. Yes since you have used trigger when item is created or modified it would run anytime when item is created or modified given the trigger condition if provided. 

Also you condition make the trigger to trigger in 2 instances , when item status is New or Pending. So when update item is making changes to item by changing status from New to Pending, it will trigger another instance of flow.

So resolution would be if you want to trigger only in case of new item/ when item is created, use trigger When item is created trigger instead.

Yeah I see. So I guess would it be better to create 2 flows for this?

One for when an item is created and the other for when the item is modified? Once modified, this is the only time the Approval will send an email.
