Bookings page with Power Automate flow Help

Hi,

I have created a Bookings page which has a specific customer question with a yes or no answer required when they book a service

I am trying to create something in PA with a flow that will look at a OneDrive Excel table with one column and a string of text in one cell (c 100 rows).

I want something that will pick out the first cell text and provide it in the customer confirmation email when they make a booking if they answered YES to a specific question.

Having a play around but getting a little lost as I have never done this before.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Adam

Hi @adamwelch

As per my understanding, you want to fetch the first cell of the first row from the excel sheet placed in one drive. To achieve this, pls follow the steps below:

To fetch the first row of an excel, you can use "List rows in a table action" and set the 'Top Count' property to 1 as shown below:

Next, to get value of Column1 column from first row, use the below expression inside body of "Send an email" action:

first(outputs('List_rows_present_in_a_table')?['body/value'])?['Column1']

Hi @ManishSolanki - yes I do but only if the customer booking a services chooses Yes from the mandatory question I have created.

It would also need to send an email to the customer who booked the service

Hi Adam,

Please check the value of Custom Question by adding a condition inside 'Apply to each' action. You can use "condition" action as shown below:

Inside "Yes" path, add both the actions which were mentioned in my last reply.

Set the customer email as recipient in the 'send an email' action as shown below:

I hope that my steps will help you in designing the exact flow you are looking for.

If it helps you then please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

Thanks for your help with this so far @ManishSolanki . I have sent you a PM back.

Hi @adamwelch

I tried designing sample flow, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Trigger when a booking is done. It will iterate all the custom fields.

ManishSolanki_0-1683194440486.png

  1. Comparing the custom fields question and answer

ManishSolanki_1-1683194440304.png

Inside “Yes” path when condition becomes true:

  1. If condition is true then flow will execute  the “Yes” path. Here we are fetching the vocher code from the excel file. The excel file is placed in one drive and has a “Voucher” as a column name with in a table “Table1”. The sample excel has been attached at the end of this document.

ManishSolanki_2-1683194440488.png

  1. Sending an email to customer with voucher from excel sheet. Please modify the email subject and body as per your need:

ManishSolanki_3-1683194440489.png

Expression used in above screenshot is:

first(outputs('List_rows_present_in_a_table')?['body/value'])?['Voucher']

  1. Finally, delete the row from the excel file using “Delete a row” action.

ManishSolanki_4-1683194440497.png

Same expression will be used for deleting a row in excel sheet:

first(outputs('List_rows_present_in_a_table')?['body/value'])?['Voucher']

Sample excel for storing vouchers:

Hi @ManishSolanki

Many thanks again for your help with this. I think I have setup the flow up based on your instructions but it's not working. It seems to fail at the part where it's looking for the custom question answer. See screen shots attached.
