Convert to PDF Failing

Hi All, I have a flow that has been running for almost a year now. Today as of 2:40pm the flow stopped working and started failing at the Convert File step. Here is the error:

  "status"404,
  "message""Error from Office Service. Url=https://wordcs.osi.office365.us/document/export/pdf HttpCode=NotFound cert=subject:;thumbprint: ResponseHeaders=Connection: close\r\nDate: Mon, 22 Apr 2024 20:29:09 GMT\r\nServer: Microsoft-IIS/10.0\r\nX-Powered-By: ASP.NET\r\n",
  "source""api.connectorp.svc.ms"

I tried removing the step, adding it back, nothing. Is this a Microsoft issue or did something get updated/changed that I'm missing. Thanks.

Better to reassign with another user connection in every action

Hi all,

remove the OneDrive Connector and create a new one!

That suggestion works for some people and unfortunately for others like me, it doesn't.  I have rebuilt the flow and made other changes too.  MS support even logged onto my machine and tried, they couldn't get it working. They have taken screenshots and browser diagnostic data today and said they would come back to me as soon as possible.  If I get any information I will be sure to post it.

Thank-you @Justin-GOV

"Microsoft has officially published the issue in their service health portal as OD789650. For those of us with access to Microsoft service health, at least we can now monitor the progress.

Description
Impact is specific to the 'Convert file' and 'Convert file using path' options within the OneDrive for Business connector.

Scope of impact
Any users of the OneDrive for Business connecter attempting to convert files in Power Automate may be impacted.

We're finalizing the process of implementing additional service logging that we anticipate will help us isolate the underlying source of impact and determine our options for remediation accordingly."

Finally I got a call from MS support, I was so happy:

After asking what the issue is repeatedly all I know is is MS are aware of the issue on the OD4B connector for converting to pdf's - tells me nothing new.  The ticket/ICM, and there are two of them, they sound like the same thing to me but apparently not and the difference is not explained. ICM stands for Incident Management apparently, and both ICM's have been escalated and the senior escalation engineer is examining the issue within the Engineering group.

After 10 odd days basically MS are aware of the issue.

There is no explanation of the cause of the problem, and there is no expected resolution or further information available.  Generally, I find MS support amazing, not this time.  As the Waterboy says "No Mama, the search continues." Bobby Boucher

Please some new??

MS support team rang me this morning.  They asked me to create my files in SharePoint and to use the Word Pdf converter. They advised me they were working on the issue but they thought this workaround might help.  Unfortunately it didn't work as I got the same error message as with OneDrive, so I am no further on than I was over a week ago :-(.  If I hear anything else I will update you.

Hello , How do you convert to pdf on sharepoint ? Could you please write to here ?

Something new? Word to PDF is not applicable for me. I need xlsx to pdf.

Hi Mentese 1, you create the file in SharePoint, then use Word Pdf Converter connection to change it to Pdf

I confirm that by using this connector, it works. It is premium so you may not have access to it.

Thank you so much. İ will try.

also

@Volt26  thank you for your help

I tried that Word PDF connector and it wont work for me unfortunately. The convert action cant see the files even tough they are in the folder, this is happening in TEAMS and also using One Drive and the One Drive Converter. Whatever the issue is, it seems to affect people in different ways.  I hope a solution will be found soon.

So far our investigation has been inconclusive. We're implementing additional service logging to gather more extensive service data and isolate the source of impact.

After implementing our additional service logging, we were still unable to successfully gather the required data. We're working to implement further service logging to aid in our discovery of the root cause of impact, and develop our next troubleshooting steps
