Dynamic columns

I have columns in my array that have dates on them(see pic below). Come Sunday the dates will change to "Sunday 07, Monday 08, Tuesday 09, and so on. These dates will change with a recurrence flow run on Sundays. How can i make these column fields dynamic. This is the last step in this Flow that i need to figure out.

Andrew,

I have figured it out. No need to make the columns dynamic. Just make the update a row action dynamic.

I do not think you can do what you want to do.

Can you explain further your process i.e. the Weekly Reporting of WET WEEK, I understand dates change in a program as I work in an industry that has this.

Would you change the flow process to something differnt if it worked better.

Regards,

Andrew

Yes, i am interested to getting my flow cleaned.

That is great but explain the following to me.

Can you explain further your process i.e. the Weekly Reporting of WET WEEK

Why do you need to report on the WET WEEK, what is the WET WEEK, what information do you need to impart to others.

I do not want a nine worded responce with nothing for me to work with or understand.  If you want my help you need to give me more than nine words.  And the more detailed you are the better it is for me to understand what you want from the system and think about how I would do it.  And to give you a proposal to go and look at getting up and running yourself.

Andrew

Andrew,

I work for a Construction Company. Safety has superintendents submit forms for Jobs been Done. Once submitted these forms is emailed to a Safety Department distribution group. Safety personnel then downloads these forms renaming with job location and date form was created note submitted. They then create an excel file that they use to see which dates were these forms created by entering "YES" under the date (Ex Wed 03). I have created three flows. One for downloading the forms and getting the information need from the email body and form data (via AI). At the same time, i create a new file on my desktop with the filename containing who submitted the form and when the form submitted need for the report. This flow is working great. The second Flow creates an excel table every Sunday for each Field Departments Dirt Utility, Wet utility, Dry Utility and Concrete Utility with the file name being Department and Week Number. The Flow adds columns Superintendent  and dates from Sunday thru Saturday. The tables are save to folder by year as the root and departments as the subfolders.  I am only working on the Wet Utility right now taking into consideration that once i get his going i can use it for other reports which will be included on the same flow. Right now, The Report works but every Sunday i have to going in and change expression settings for the date Columns. The Report Flow takes the name of the person that recorded the form and date it was created. From that i format the date to "dddd dd" to compare to the Dates on the columns. For the name i use a second table that contains Employees and their departments. The Department is use d a if condition comparing departs. In this case the condition directs me to the Wet section of the flow. i then use the list rows present on a table this is a dynamic action. using ouputs from year, department and Week number with Superintendent as the selected query. On the next action, i have an apply to each with the value from the list rows present in a table. I am able to use it as a dynamic action.  This is where the dynamic stops. Right now in order to compare the date (dddd dd) the form was created with the actual column.

Ex.

If(equals(outputs('FormatFormDate'),'Sunday 31'),'YES','')
Every Sunday i have to go in and change the Column dates for the flow to work

I hope you can understand what i am try to do.

Thanks for the information that is grealty aprecited.

WOW that is some process to try and pick apart and seeing as though you have done most of it and it apears to work I can see why you asked the question you did as this seems to be the last part of the puzzle you need to solve.

You are US based by the terminolgy I see you using, I am based in the UK so it time for me to retire, I will review your process over the weekend and see if I can simplyfy it for you if you are up for this.  But you need to let me know before I put in a lot of work.

You seem to be okay with Flow so it might be a case of a suggestion for you to take forward.

Andrew

Andrew, I will take it as a suggestion. The problem is if the Superintendents submitted the forms when created i would work like a charm by using the UTCNow() expression. Hopefully upper management will get them to do so.

Thanks for any future suggestions.

Andrew,

I have figured it out. No need to make the columns dynamic. Just make the update a row action dynamic.
