Long story short...
I am brand new to Power Automate. I have a flow that Creates tasks, and during that Flow I also want to go back and add checklist items, categories, etc.
Problem appears to be when the 'Create a task' Action is within an 'Apply to each', 'Create a task' outputs only the Task Id of the first task created. After lots of searching between Bing, Bard, and ChatGPT I have no solutions to the single Task Id conundrum.
However, Bard tells me there is a new cloud flows designer with Copilot currently in preview and is only available to a limited number of users.
And as brand-new user that has apparently(?) already reached the extent of Power Automate's capabilities, I'd love to get access and see if Bard is right in that this new cloud flows designer contains a Get item count action that (supposedly) is the path to getting all the Task Ids created earlier in a flow.
So....
My ask is two-fold:
Apologies in advance to anyone peeved by my impertinence. I learn the way I learn.
Oh, BTW, I created a MS Word doc that attempts to explain what the Flow is doing. Bad vehicle for communicating such but it's all I have at the moment.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Just a quick note - because I'm seeing this a lot, and I want to make sure others read this as well- I do not recommend trying to learn Power Automate from ChatGPT or other AI sources. It's a good tool once you know the basics, but if you're new to it, and can't call out when it's lying, it's only going to confuse you. For example, it looks like it led you to believe that this can't be done -- when it's in fact the most common thing we do in PA, in loops. The most common issue I've seen with ChatGPT is that it references old information on the web that is no longer applicable - including saying you "can't do something" because you couldn't in 2019, or to use "X action" which no longer exists or is deprecated.
Anyway, I digress.
When you create new tasks in a loop, you need to store those IDs somewhere. Like, initialize an array variable, and then continue to append the Task IDs to that array. Then, after you've left your current Apply to Each loop, you can reference it and make whatever updates you want.
However, if you want to do it right after creating your task, you can reference the task ID within the loop. It is smart enough to know that it should reference the Task ID for the current loop only.
I tried to look at your Word document, but honestly it's very difficult to help without seeing the flow itself. Can you show screenshots of the flow instead?
I answer questions on the forum for 2-3 hours every Thursday!
Okay, so, when you Create the Task, the ID of that new task will exist in your Dynamic Content. But to get to it, you need to click in the field, choose the "Custom.." link, and then find it in your Dynamic Content tab.
I just want to make sure this is understood, because this - if you didn't know how to get to it - would be the problem 🙂

Thanks Rhiassuring!
I agree an AI is not the best way to learn some things. The flow as it sits today barely resembles the first iterations. Attached is a shot of the current flow wherein I am using the Excel Table to store the Task Id. It may not be strictly necessary but it helps with another objective of going back and updating specific tasks later.
The final problem with this initial effort is to add task specific categories(labels). Attached are a couple additional shots showing different attempts to get the API to read from the spreadsheet and apply categories.
Happy to open a new topic if that is protocol.
I'd appreciate any additional insights on this!
