Error 400 "You must specify a value for this required field." on update item.

I'm trying to update the Sharepoint list with 'update item' action but I'm continuously getting this error.

I have entered all the obligatory fields and still getting the error is the same.

Here is my flow.

Does anyone knows what else to try?

When updating a SharePoint list, you must supply values for all required columns even if those columns currently are populated.  So, you will need to supply existing values from Get Items if the column value is not changing.

Try

1) Try creating a Test View in SharePoint with only the required fields, and then 'Limit Columns to View' to test - then fill out all the fields - then see if the issue persists.

2) If #1 does not work, try also this:

Try going to the Flow, "Save As" another copy of the Flow, and for each Action in the copied Flow, use the Ellipses and click Add New Connection and add the connection to SharePoint. Save, Close and re-open the copied Flow. For the remaining SharePoint Actions in the copied Flow use Ellipses and then select the second connection. See if after that this helps.

If this didn't work, then:

Delete the copied Flow

https://us.flow.microsoft.com/ then Data -> Connections then delete the most recently created SharePoint Connection (but only remove the newer connection - make sure to keep the older connection that was there before, since it may be in use by your other Flows - removing this connection may mean having to fix it by opening every existing Flow and fixing it on each and every Flow and re-saving the Flow. While this is not too hard, it may be tedious and time consuming if you have a lot of Flows, so make sure to keep the older connection in case).

Yes try very first to check on what @ScottShearer said before anything else.

Even if you are not changing the field, yes you must tell it to update with the already existing same value with Dynamic Content as @ScottShearer said,  for all the Required fields. Check about this first.

Thank you @ScottShearer ,

Apparently Sharepoint has some mandatory fields that I have to add in every 'update Item' action.

That is nunderstood and always works, HOWEVER, not in this case. Copying contacts items from one list to another. There's only one required field (*Last Name) and that's completed with the dynamic (Last Name) from the get items and STIll the error.

I never had this issue till copying contacts items.

Of course, every time, any time you try and accomplish anything with this confounded tech there's a 'fly in the ointment'. Something has to not work even though you follow the correct procedures. It doesnt seem to matter.

Seems pretty amateurish to me with all these "issues". Thing tend to only work like "Plug n' Pray" or if it's on a Tuesday with a full moon.

As a user, I dont appreciate having to research every stupid little issue it has. "This 32 digit Id is a problem" ??? What the heck does thast mean?? If it needs a particular "something else", SPELL IT OUT!!!!!! If it cant find it (likely in this case it;s a metadata field) WHY NOT??? It seems to know what it wants so it's not my problem Power Automate can't deal with Managed Metadata fields. Why can't it? Isd it the usual, mixcrosoft never compekltes a technology before jumping on the bandwago to something else? There's plent of connecrtions to services most people have never heard of but trying to use a staplel of the trechnmology is still an issue since SharePoint 2013???
If there was a similar technology, I would've jumnped ship a long time ago and save a lot of blood pressure elevations.

Well put. I've been a developer for a long-time, and the Power Automate "Get Items" action is missing a TON of features (e.g., required fields, content approval status, much more). I can't imagine non-technical people trying to use this garbage.

Right. And no matter how often you say the emperor has no clothes on, you still get flack. The tech is consistently 75% finished and the remaining 25%, which typically addresses these shortcomings, are rarely addressed this requiring the all mighty Microsoft Workaround/Hack.
