Excel Tables - A value must be provided for item

I am making a (giant) flow that will be used to do a few things with a sharepoint list. The idea is to take a SP list called TripLedger and pull only unpaid entries into a flow, organize them into excel sheets for each employee in the list then email those to accounting to get mileage paid out. Here are the steps I am trying to do to make this work:

Step 1: use Get Items SP connection to a) pull all unpaid items into power automate and b) sort them by FullName. (sorting them by full name will just group the entries together into blocks for each user. I can then loop through and add entries to an excel table until the full name is differnet at which point currentName != item.fullname and then ill create a new file and continue the process for the new person until again the name changes.)

Step 2: use an apply-to-each to loop through all the items pulled by the get items function. The condition for this is if CurrentUser eq item()?['FullName']. If this results in true, then Step 3 executes otherwise Step 4 executes instead.

Step 3: this step uses some variables to get file content, create a file, then create a table in that file. This all works so far. At the end of step 3, the item is ready to be added to to the excel table i created and so i use an add row to a table function. I pass in:

Location: One Drive for Business

Doc Library: OneDrive

File: ID from create file earlier in step 3

Table: Name from create table earlier in step 3

Row: This is the problem I think. I have tried item(), item()?['Value'], and CurrentItem from the Apply-To-Each loop

The error i get says a Value must be provided for item. Im not sure what I am doing wrong but the file is created, the table is created, and the table is populated with the correct columns that i want in it. when i try to add the first row (or any row) it fails and crashes.

If i can provide any screen shots or any extra info about my flow please let me know. I have made a similar flow that used HTML table and arrays and that worked but they want it done in excel and i cant seem to wrap my head around it. Thank you in advance!

@mmollet  Please share step-3 flow screens. You need to select dynamic content from Apply to each loop.

The file gets created, is in the correct location, correct name, and correct columns it just wont add items to it. My overall flow is fairly complex but works how planned until add row. Thank you again!

File - (ID from create file step) outputs(‘create_file’)?[‘body/ID’]

Table - (name from create file step) outputs(‘create_file’)?[‘body/name’]
Row - this is expecting the item to appending to the table but so far nothing i have tried will work and all return the same error.

@mmollet Current item is taking value from Apply to each. In Apply to each which values you are passing?

@Hardesh15

So this is my main question. I have now created a much more simple flow that does one person at a time rather than looping through all people. I have no idea what to put here as I have tried everything I can think to try. My goal is this:

1- Get FullName passed into flow by powerapps action

2- Get items from sharepoint list and filter them based on FirstName and isPaid. (currently working fine)

(I have a template file in onedrive for business that I use to dynamically create a file whenever the user needs to)

3- Get file content and point it to that template file

4- Create file in onedrive for business location with dynamic name. pass in file content from step 3 also.

5- Create a new table in this new file that I will then populate with the appropriate data.

6- Add rows to this new doc/table using excel add a row to a table.

Step 6 is where 100% of my issues pop up and I have yet to try anything that works for me. It fails every time due to me not knowing what to put into the 'Row' box. I pass the file ID from step 4, the table name from step 5, then im not sure what to pass into Row. I want to pass the current item's fields from the loop im in but that is obviously not as simple as one would think.

The shown 'select' function in the last image is just my most recent attempt to find something that works. I am open to any ideas!

Thank you!

I have gotten the flow to output some of what i need by just using Json formatting in the row input on the last step. I am passing in dynamic values per item in the loop. Below is a screenshot of the output. It grabbed all 4 entries it was supposed to, but didnt grab all columns for some reason. Also threw no errors either. Any idea what could be causing this to happen?
